WOOF: Join an FOF MP League where the cap matters, and now with automated headlines!
The WOOF has one opening. Raleigh is available to be taken over immediately. For quite some time now, the World Order Of Football has been near the forefront of innovation in FOF MP, and we're there once again with a couple of things. First off..
MAKING THE SALARY CAP MATTER WITHOUT A BUNCH OF HOUSE RULES The problem with finances in FOF MP can be boiled down to one simple matter: players do not request enough money relative to the salary cap. As a result, it's too easy to keep a team together, and Free Agency therefore just becomes an exercise in signing the guys that an absentee owner let fly. Well, we've figured out a way to fix that. You don't lower the salary cap or the cap increase range. Salary demands are relative to the cap, so that accomplishes nothing. However, if you assign every team in the league a significant amount of dead cap space, it's a whole new ball game. WOOF passed a measure just this week to do this. Every team will operate at 75% of the cap, and the great part is that you don't have to remember this. One of our tech gurus has created an exclusive utility that takes care of it for us. Come join us for a robust cap management experience. AUTOMATED HEADLINES Each week, you'll see stuff like this, completely automated: : ![]()
Any time one of the following happens, it is posted automatically as a text headline in the forum:
But other than this, we also can boast...

Sounds like a bunch of cheap bastard owners! Won't even spend to the cap! ;)
|
Indeed!
|
Nice rule change. Definitely an improvement. Doesn't fix everything but probably as close as you can do on the user level.

This is the only part of the first post that matters. Oh, I guess the looking for a good owner to join part matters also. |
Wrong forum.
Oh wait, never mind. ;) |
Are all the other contract rules gone now?
|
Not yet, but I suspect that we'll end up dropping the last-year renegotation rule once the stair-step implementation (10%, then 25%) is complete.
|
Yeah, having a good team and being close to the cap would be interesting. The "cap out this year, cap out next year, cap out again...errrrr, shit, my cap is fucked armegeddon" would be a welcome change to the MP scene. And kind of a funny disaster waiting to see happen. :)

Bump.
We have two "soft" openings. (In other words, the owners are willing to keep tending to their teams, but if there are strong candidates who want in, they're willing to step aside, too. WOOF: Palouse Hills Whirlwind 2020 WOOF: Savannah Fire Ants 2020 |
The guy who is vulturing my team has done a good job with it so far.

Wow. Brutal division for the Fire Ants. ;)

Wow, I hadn't looked at the WOOF in a while. So I see that my Cheetahs have moved to Ann Arbor, and they've actually had one playoff appearance. Movin' on up.

Last call to get one of these. We're about to make assignments. |
To be clear, SAV is officially available now. PAL is still a "soft" opening.
|
Could have been interested, not sure i can really handle two leagues though
|
Nice to see my old original team, the Toledo Sword Masters, still alive and using my old logo, i'll follow them from now. Too bad their only winning season was my first one, it seems to be one of the worse teams in the league history.

I am happy to say that Grand Junction has gone from arguably a top 3 terrible team of all time to a much more respectable top 8-9 worst. Hopefully we can crack .500 in 20 more season's or so.

We have a rare opening in the WOOF. First one in over five months real-time.

We are now at the end of the 6th season with the full salary cap reduction. It has definitely increased parity in the league. Every contract that is out there is now under the new rules. In our just completed 2025 season, there were two teams at 12-4, and only five other teams with at least 10 wins. An 8-8 team made the playoffs as a wildcard. The stricter salary cap rules causes teams to have to make hard decisions each offseason. Much more realistic, IMHO. Quote:
Yep, we do still have these bells and whistles, and they are constantly tweaked and improved. There is even now a high level scouting page, to see a team's offensive tendencies. We've also done a bit more tweaking on the injury side of things. We were seeing that stadium referendums to improve the turf quality were hardly ever passing. So a decision was made to set all turfs that were 'Poor' or 'Fair' each season to 'Average'. Teams are free to submit requests for higher levels if desired. Quote:
Yep, we still have a strong core of active owners. Even on the last couple of sims of the season we had close to 90% export rate. But there will be at least one, maybe more, teams opening up this next offseason. The playoffs start tomorrow, so now is a good time to head over and see what the league has to offer. Hopefully you like what you see and consider signing up with one of the best FOFC experiences out there! |
Bump. We *may* have one opening. If skolleck does not check in by tomorrow morning, Las Vegas is open.
WOOF: Las Vegas Ballas 2025 |
Bump. Two potential openings. These teams will be vacated if the owners don't check in by Tuesday morning. Both have top 10 picks in the draft. The draft class will be revealed Monday morning.

Man, if CHV gets an RB or CB, beware. With the crazy depth we had 2 seasons ago in the draft for RB, this could be their year to have a top 5 offense.
|
Bump. One opening. The regular season ends tomorrow, so grab this team, extend some contracts, and get ready to roll for the offseason.
