Bah, Celeval and Disturbed need to contribute to the game plan library.
See 1993 for Elway, 2018 for Passut.
QB John Elway Player Details QB Jonathan Passut Player Details  |
Yeah no kidding. QUIT HOLDING OUT ON US.

Perhaps this is as good a place as any to post this. It's pertaining to City of Heroes and Champions Online, but I've seen many parallels between those games and FOF (including folks questioning the developer's VISION), but it may be something more universal to gaming and the human condition:

That comes from a poster who basically knows CoH game as well as the developers do, and is in close communications with many of the devs, but is not a developer herself. Every game has it's min/maxers, even this one. That's just how it goes. It may take a while, but eventually they crack the code (not literal code, but the puzzle). |
I am really impressed with Passut. But notice the 1-15 season with the new QB to help him develop quickly, then a 1.3 pick of a WR and BAM 11-5, playoffs for 6 straight seasons & perfect going into week 17 of this one...

It's not like Subby is that far behind with his QB, and he's only rated a 55/55.
QB Mark Rypien Player Details |
I don't think I'm actually doing anything special, although I'll try and find some time to go through my gameplan in some detail. It's based off of one of the ones you did, Ben, just with a different breakdown of run/pass.
Overall, the pass efficiency just comes from making the run a priority and being successful at it. We lead the league, I think, in rushes per game at just over 35, and are third in over 150 yards/game... but then throw the ball less than 25 times. I don't think there's a signficant split there between first half/second half, either. We push the run, are successful at it, and when we do throw the ball we've got one total stud and two more excellent receivers in their own right to go get it. My Memphis team just has a very strong level of talent, I think - I don't actually have a weakness on offense. I can't think of a position on my offensive 2-deep except backup QB and backup TE that couldn't start for most teams in the league. Defense isn't as good. |
Actually, I forgot about some of the stuff I do with formations... I'll put something together soon after the Doggie Bowl. ;)

I think your season with Rypien is more impressive than what I am doing with Elway. |
I might share my game plan that I am currently using. I don't know. We shall see.
|
oh yeah....
and I dont think its my game plan really as much as the players that surround Elway. The team has a in game roster rating of 25 but has players with the right bars. |

So anyways, here is the game plan I am using in the GEFL.

The reason i put what Elway is doing a little ahead of Rypien is recievers. Tony Martin is of course the stud FL Tony Martin Player Details Henry Ellard SE Henry Ellard Player Details and Andre Rison FL Andre Rison Player Details Compared to Rypien's 6 straight years with 40 td passes at least and 3 straight over 50 Cris Carter is a man child SE Cris Carter Player Details Rob Moore FL Rob Moore Player Details And Subby's two other first round speed receivers GEFL: Washington Redskins 1993 Subby's offense has incredible talent and speed at every position even tight end Walls and running back Samuels. I love the cast he has is a blueprint on how to set up a successful offensive team. His team has been intact, except for the rookies, for at least three years. Elway and Martin came from a new team this year. They are playing like they have been together for years. |

22 views and no comments.... Interesting... kudos to D for having the balls to post his gp. Wonder if anyone else will step up? |
Yeah, Elway's WR look real weak there...

Not sure this is my latest, but it's one version of my defensive gameplan. Key here is turning down the aggressive options quite a bit, otherwise a pretty vanilla 4-3.
|
Awesome stuff guys. I love seeing what other people do as I've figured out most of what I do on my own... Im looking forward to digesting both GP's. Thanks!

Its just the HGH we gave Elway and Martin after trading for them.
|
For those that care, season ending stats for Elway and Rypien:
Elway: 76.1% Completion 5355 Yards (13.06 YPA/9.94 YPC) 67 TD's 4 INT 539 Atts 410 Completions Rypien: 68.2% Completion 4949 Yards (14.06 YPC/9.59 YPA) 64 TD's 13 INTs 519 Atts 354 Completions |
sick
|
Those are both in GEFL, right? I'd like to think those stats aren't achievable in multiplayer leagues with game-generated rosters.

Maybe not the yardage.. but QB rating and TD passes were put up in the WOOF that are very similar QB Jonathan Passut Player Details Just curious.. has anyone had or seen a MP QB with a rating higher than Elway's 143.4 for a full season?? |
Quote:
wow that's impressive -- lmao -- what's the max on the rating -- 158 or something? |
So, if Elway had traded 2 touchdowns and 4 interceptions for 8 completed passes for 1,372 yards, he would have posted a 'perfect' season.
|
8 completions for 1,372 yards eh? Pls share gameplan k thx :)

EAs Madden meets FOF
|
The weird thing is Elway tailed off a little in the last few games.
It could have been the defense catching up to the scheme but he was on points for over 70 tds after 10 games. |
