I was up 6 points with just over 2 minutes to go in the game on my own 28. It was 4th and 2 and WE WENT FOR IT??? Of course we don't make it and the other team goes down and scores a TD with almost no time left. This game is broken!!! Jim fix this!!!!!!:banghead: :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:

Can't believe so many folks are riled up over that call. It's typical Belichik aggressiveness, and it almost worked. But he'd rather have the game in Brady's hands than Manning's, especially when Manning had just led 2 quick drives for scores (yes, I know they picked him in between when he and Wayne were on the wrong page, but that's not going to happen often). I'm happy to have a coach running my team that goes for the jugular and is willing to make the tough call no matter what the fans and media will say. I'm far more concerned that he didn't just let them score immediately, but then again they've stuffed the Colts with 2 shots from the 1 before (2006 AFC Championship game).

The real issue with that game was Maroney fumbling at the 1. Those 3 or 7 points were huge.

If they would have went for it on 4th and -2.0474643844907E-03, then we would have compared it to Maximum Football.

Or if they had gained 3.5 yards and still turned the ball over on downs.

Excuse me, 3.4556436215345425231754395643 yards.

Or it wouldn't have mattered because the Patriots would have been awarded 9 points for one of their earlier TDs.

heh, was laughing at this thread, then noticed my gameplan seems to have caught the other Belichick bug - the Grind-them-into-dust one. Up by 24 points, last play of the 3rd quarter -

Mountain View: I formation, strength is right. The defense is in a 34 with goal-line personnel and 1-deep, bump-and-run coverage, expecting the run.
4-3-KAI33 (3Q: 00:31) Josh Ackerman pass completed to RB Eddie Wilkins for 8 yards. Tackled by S Brock Choi.

I just double-checked my gameplan and all my 'Lead 20+' are set to 'Never'. Ackerman must've audibled, that cocky bastard.

What is the time set to for them? Under all the adjusments there is a section for you to use the above adjustments until X min have past the game. With only 31 seconds left in the 3rd quarter, it could've been set to something like 40 minutes...Just wondering.

I have a question about the miscellanous offensive settings.
my team has been kicking FG's when on the opps. 1 yardline,2,3,4,5 etc. and on just about every situation reguardless of the score from opps 1-6, 7-20 and 21-50 yardlines I have had the 4th down set for GO 4 on 4th down and my team hasnt been going for it on 4th down. we are either kicking the FG or punting. I have it set for ALWAYS.
Anyone know why my teams not going for it on 4th down other then when we are trailing late in a game

There is no modification if there's one yard to go, but percentages drop sharply if there's more than one yard to go for the first down.

If there are specific instances of 4th and 1 in particular, I'd report them to support AT solecismic DOT com. But if it's longer than 4th and 1, it's not very likely that your team will go for it.

There are mainly the 4th and goal from the 1 and we kick the stupid FG these drive me nuts...I wasnt aware there was only a 30% when its 1 yard. So what does the ALWAYS setting mean if always is only 30%. AWAYS means to me no matter what we are going for it.

TY for your response.
