Yep.

Why, so they don't have to watch the Steelers suck?

henry296 12-10-2009 08:28 PM

Completey and utterly disappointed in the Steelers. I know the weather is bad, but I think they have negative yards of offense in the first half...

Logan 12-10-2009 08:41 PM

+32 actually. Do they look like they'll be able to put anything together in the 2nd half?

Tigercat 12-10-2009 08:53 PM

Why did anyone think the Steelers would kill the Browns? On the road on a short week? After losing to an almost equally hapless Raiders team? A Super Bowl win last year doesn't change the nature of the Steelers' struggles this year.

Lathum 12-10-2009 09:00 PM

I'm not sure the whole Thursday night thing works. This is the second week in a row I have forgotten there is a game on.

Logan 12-10-2009 09:08 PM

Doesn't help that the last two weeks have been terrible games that you knew would be boring.

Dr. Sak 12-10-2009 09:10 PM

3 weeks...that Giants/Broncos game sucked too

True, but I am pretty die hard, I'll watch about any game. I just forgot completely.

you aren't kidding.

I hope the game Sunday night is better, of course, I'll be in Vegas, which makes everything better.

Tigercat 12-10-2009 09:14 PM

Next weeks NFLN games are definitely a step up, Jags/Colts Thurs., Cowboys/Saints Sat.

Abe Sargent 12-10-2009 10:13 PM

Wow Ben

Abe Sargent 12-10-2009 10:20 PM

Love ta see the Browns win tonight

Celeval 12-10-2009 10:20 PM

Good moments for the Browns have been few and far between, but this was one.

RendeR 12-10-2009 10:22 PM

*cackles*

Go Browns. Just fucking GO BRowns.

LOVE seeing this win. LOVED IT!

Groundhog 12-10-2009 10:27 PM

8 sacks? Really?

Aylmar 12-10-2009 10:30 PM

Steelers are the worst team in the NFL right now. I'm embarrassed that I actually typed a defense of these hacks a few weeks ago. I just loved the shuffling around at the end of the game. No urgency, didn't go to the no huddle, didn't really change things up at all. Arians needs to go at the end of the season. What a joke.

Swaggs 12-10-2009 10:39 PM

As much as I like Tomlin and his staff, it is tough not to pin these last few losses on the coaching staff w/ as close as the games have been and the calibre of teams they have been losing against. Up until tonight (w/ a pretty weak remaining schedule and Polamalu returning), I thought they could pull things together and comfortably get into the playoffs -- now, I think they keep hoping to play tough and win, but they need to see what they have in some of the young guys like Urbik, Hood, the cornerbacks, Sweed, etc.

The worst part is the lack of fire. They've been bad before, obviously, but they always seemed to play with some heart. That has been lacking this season. I say again, Arians should be fired at the end of the season. I'd fire him tonight, but that's not the way the Rooneys do things. Can't manage a single touchdown against the Browns? Really? Maybe it's time for Bruce to start discovering his calling in life, because it's not as an offensive football coach.

weak remainging schedule?

Baltimore, Jacksonville and miami?

Thats not weak.

MikeVic 12-10-2009 11:04 PM

I don't even know what to say. Best of luck to the AFC teams in the playoffs, should be fun this year.

RedKingGold 12-10-2009 11:24 PM

That offensive line is baaaaaaaaaaad

MrDNA 12-10-2009 11:28 PM

This is our Superbowl - that's sad - and I'll take it :)

Julio Riddols 12-11-2009 03:30 AM

Count me in as one of those who really likes seeing this.

Butter 12-11-2009 06:34 AM

That game last night was the best thing ever. They've unleashed hell 2 weeks in a row.

Dr. Sak 12-11-2009 07:50 AM

I love listening to Pittsburgh Talk Radio after the Steelers lose...some gems I heard this morning:

"Tomlin should be fired. Do you think Cowher would come back?"

"Ben isn't getting the job done, I think it's time Dixon gets his shot."

"Limus Sweed should play over Ward."

"This is one of the most depressing days of my life. Last time I was this depressed my father died."

Very disappointing last night. Not much else to say.

flere-imsaho 12-11-2009 09:12 AM

You really have to wonder, at this point, if the Steelers would beat either Tampa Bay or Detroit (who are, I have to think, currently the two worst teams in football).

JonInMiddleGA 12-11-2009 09:14 AM

Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute after a police officer said he smelled marijuana in the player's SUV during a routine traffic stop Thursday night. ... The team is aware of the arrest, and Babineaux is set to meet with team offiicials Friday morning.

Babineaux was with another man, 25-year-old Aaron Robinson Minneapolis, who also was arrested. Robinson was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, a felony.

Babinaeux and Robinson were stopped around 10:45 p.m. Thursday as they drove north on I-85 in Babineaux's 2005 Cadillac Escalade EXT.

"It's cut and dry," Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli told the AJC. "He was stopped for a traffic violation."

Schiralli said the officer searched the SUV because he smelled marijuana. The officer found three bags containing a total of 40 grams of marijuana, Schiralli said.

In addition to the possession charges, Babineaux is charged with having no tag light and driving without a license and with an expired tag. He also was charged with tinting his car windows too much.

I don't know. I watched mostly the SU game last night, but when flipping back to the NFL game, I somehow saw 4 of the sacks. On 3 of them, they came AFTER 5 seconds. Any sack after 3.5 seconds in the NFL, its the QBs fault for not getting rid of the ball.

Well they already did beat Detroit, with Culpepper starting and Calvin Johnson out, but it wasn't a blowout and the Steelers didn't look good then.

This slide has been coming for a while.

Passacaglia 12-11-2009 11:55 AM

The Steelers should change their colors to match the Iowa Hawkeyes. Those guys are winners.

6-7

Big Fo 12-11-2009 03:09 PM

My Dolphins are in Jacksonville this weekend and I'll be making the drive down. I'm looking forward to it, it's been a few years since I saw an NFL game in person and it's a very important game for both teams. Hopefully Miami can maintain their good form (fourth quarter in Buffalo aside) of late.

mauchow 12-13-2009 01:38 PM

lol at the Bungals going for another play deep in their territory only to have it backfire.. winfield makes a nice tackle, forcing a fumble and allowing the Vikings to get another 3 points on the board before halftime.

Eaglesfan27 12-13-2009 01:44 PM

The Falcons just got screwed out of a nice interception.

If you let that go you can just put the strongest DB you can find and have him push WRs out of the way until the DB is in position to make a INT. It is one thing if you push the WR out the way with your shoulder for a second, but the Atlanta DB did it for a good 20 yards. Easy and correct call, even if one hates to punish and take away the good defensive play at the end.

DeToxRox 12-13-2009 01:53 PM

I know the Bengals are a nice story and all but their offense is just awful lately. Carson Palmer has been a huge disappointment.

Tigercat 12-13-2009 01:54 PM

Although I will say Atlanta has had bad luck with penalties since mid point of the 2nd quarter. (Before that all the calls were on the Saints.) Would be nice to see the refs bury their flags for the rest of this game.

DaddyTorgo 12-13-2009 02:01 PM

Patriots are putrid. Brady's gotta be hurting. Whether it's the lack of sleep from the baby (although I find that hard to believe) or the rib/finger (rib supposedly broken) he looks bad. Team just looks listless and without energy.

It's entirely due to the loss of Chris Henry. There is no vertical stretching to the field anymore.

JonInMiddleGA 12-13-2009 02:12 PM

Chicago now leads GB 14-13 with about a minute left in Q3.
WTF?

SirFozzie 12-13-2009 02:15 PM

Brady is doing on arm strength.. he's still not driving through. Wes Welker.. If he keeps this up.. yes, there's plenty of career left.. borderline HoFer?

JonInMiddleGA 12-13-2009 02:16 PM

Falcons & Saints now tied at 23 with 12:56 left in regulation.

Probably yes for Welker. He will go down as the GOAT as a slot WR imo. He needs 3-4 more seasons like this to be a lock.

Crapshoot 12-13-2009 02:42 PM

WTF Is New Orleans doing? 3 passes with 2:20 left, and than a fake field goal? When they are up by 3 ?
