By 'full' version do you mean the PC game or the normal FMH PSP game?

Its exactly the same as the UMD version of the PSP game if thats what you meant.

(in a straight comparison with the PC game FMH is designed to be more 'streamlined' and faster to play than the PC game, but is still realistic and fun imho ... think more along the lines of CM01-02 and you'll be around the right target area)

Yeah, I was referring to the PC version that I regularly play. I'm assuming you're saying there's just less micromanaging.

As long as you don't advance the ball by answering trivia questions!

LOL :D

No there aren't any such 'arcade' gimmicks in FMH.

There are however 'unlockables' for you to discover in the game, if you achieve certain things in the game then you'll get a news item which indicates something have been unlocked.

These are NOT arcadey in nature and fit in with the nature of the game and don't break the realism of the simulation at all- but can add some extra challenge to things when you've played the game a fair bit.

To give an example (as i can see puzzled faces in the audience):

News Item
Your chairman has requested your advice, FIFA are taking a vote upon the removal of transfer windows within Football and he wants to know whether this is something he should support or not.

Effect:
If you suggest he supports the proposal then transfer windows are removed from your current game (meaning you can make transfers at any time).
If you say he shouldn't support this proposal then the game remains as it is.

(You can also decide to enable/disable this option when starting new games in future)

There are a fair few unlockables in this 'style' within the game and the 'race' to find them upon the games release has been quite popular with users of FMH since its conception. Do bear in mind though that these are ALL tuned to be surprises for people who have played the game largely to death rather than the type of thing you'll see within minutes of playing.

(those of you who read the FM thread might realise that when I was talking about potentially changing league rules (ie. number of promotion slots etc.) in the game I was thinking along the lines of it (initially at least) being an unlockable in FMH - but no it isn't in the game at present)

I have been playing this for more than a month now. If you are considering it, I highly recommend it. The game always leaves me thirsty for more.

I was under the impression that the PlayStation Store only updates on Thursdays.

Early because of Christmas Eve, perhaps?

I just want to say that I've loved every version of this game, but I put an ungodly amount of time into this version.

I still remember back in my college days where I could bang out a full season of CM in one day. Certainly that couldn't happen with today's versions!

Can't wait to download the PSP version tomorrow (FINALLY!). Hopefully a football noob like myself might be more successful in a more streamlined version of the game.

Thanks for the great news Marc!

Looks like the price is $23.99. Pretty good deal. I'll be buying it today.

I think it was 01/02 I put a ridiculous amount of time into too. That might have been the first year I took a squad up into the 2030's and the "third generation" of players really. Fueled by my (then epic) $85,000,000 sale (as Rosenborg) of a young Kennedy Bakircioglu to Barcelona. Man...that sale made my bank balance look great for YEARS, and fueled a lot of "buy cheap young Scandanavian kids, develop them and then turn them around for big profit" follow-ons.

Anybody mention yet that as a Sega game, this appears to be 40% off on the PlayStation Network at the moment?

Price on it is $23.99 at the moment, which would square with a normal price of $39.99.

And it looks like MBBF did. I guess I've got blindness to his presence in threads which mention Sony these days. :D
