BOUGHT THE GAME NEW

Need help.

I set this up on my office computer just fine, but when i bought a new game for my home computer i get this message from a Elicense Control dialog box:

"In order to finish initializing this application must first be run by a user with administrator privileges. Please contact your system admin for help 0-3."

Does anyone know what this means and what i need to do? I'm running on Vista. This happens when i try to run the game. It's been install fine on my system and i recieved my elicense #.

Right-click the exe and select "Run as Administrator" the first time only.

Here are my steps. Maybe i'm doing something wrong.

1. Download the game on my "desk top".
2. Right click the exe and hit "run admin."
3. once finish i click on the FOF icon to load the game, and that is when i get this message.

Also, be sure it is the EXE you are setting as 'run as administrator'. Sounds like you are setting the shortcut on the desktop rather than the actual EXE. Go to program files\solecismic software\front office football 2007, and then set THAT exe to 'run as administrator'.

When i download the game it's the EXE. That icon i right click to run as admin. When that is completed it gives me the FOF game icon on my desk top, in which i left click to load the game, and that's when the message comes up.

For anyone else who reads this thread, it's worth knowing that buying the game new isn't any different from installing from scratch, other than not needing to move any files. It's the same installation package.

Correct. What you "Ran As Administrator" was the INSTALLER. The actual GAME needs to be run once as administrator for the elicense stuff to kick in.

Thanks....

I just bought the game today and this really helped me out. We might want to sticky this or put it in the reference section for us Vista Users. Thanks!
