The thread where the ladies of FOFC clue us in...

I had the idea that us men don't know a damn thing about women. So since there are but a few ladies who frequent these parts, we can hopefully take advantage of their being here, much as if they had any questions about why we're so dumb, we would surely assist them.

Ok, dumb place for a laugh, but they already have us down pat. Don't you ladies? ;)

Of course this is self serving...

Went to Whole Foods tonight & saw a woman that is damn near what I picture when I think of the perfect woman for me. She saw me looking at her when at the hot food buffet. Then when I was sitting & eating in the cafe area out of all the available open seating she sits at the next table, facing me. Does she look? Nope. Just sat where I could obviously see her. When I finished & was deliberately putting my trash away & kept looking for any green light, she pulls out her cell.

My thoughts (and please tell me if I am right or wrong) is that she had no interest in speaking with me, but was thoroughly enjoying the attention.

You should have been cocky and funny....

Karlifornia 02-16-2010 11:07 PM

I'm not a lady, so I can't help you. Instead, I'd like to ask for advice myself:

I was on vacation at the Outer Banks (I have an OBX car window sticker to prove it, btw), and boarded a flight back to San Jose. This beautiful woman (probably the perfect woman) comes and sits next to me. There were seats all over the plane, and she chooses to sit next to me. I put my hand on her thigh and said "You wanna join the Mile High Club?". She said "No thanks. I'm not a Broncos fan."

Then I took out the Skymall magazine and began pointing at things and saying "I'll buy you this if you want. I can afford it." My question for all the ladiesss out there is:

Should I have the foot alignment socks shipped directly to her house, or do you think it would make her husband mad?

Not sure this thread is going to turn out the way BigJohn planned it to.

MrBug708 02-16-2010 11:25 PM

I've noticed that all of the perfect woman are always checking out Go Big Blue.

Dude, there are like 4 women on this board. I don't know what sort of feedback you're looking for here.

As for your scenario, she might have been interested if you'd said something. Or would've laughed in your face. Just having the courage to say something and getting shot down though, might have ultimately have given you a better shot of just staring across the room and ruminating over it.

By the time you'd gotten up, it was too late and she was over it if she would've indulged you at all from the start.

TCY Junkie 02-17-2010 12:43 AM

You're screwed, you don't know her personality and you say she's the perfect woman. If you can't get past looks than just imagine her without clothes on, if that don't work than imagine her without skin.

Schmidty 02-17-2010 12:53 AM

You sound like a stalker with no confidence.

My advice:

A) Have confidence and somehow approach her.

B) Stalk her and figure out things she likes and doesn't like. Rummaging through her garbage could help. Once you have that knowledge, "accidentally" bump into her and come up with a creative reason to use that info.

C) Surf the net and find someone as desperate as you. ;)

Noop 02-17-2010 07:53 AM

M Go Blue!!!

You are way too old to be shy man... you should have approached her with some damn confidence. The worse thing she would have done was tell you she isn't interested. Fortune favors the bold, you must be able to risk something in order to attain the thing you desire.

Men are simple, women are complex. Once you figure that out, you're golden.

I actually laughed out loud to this. It feels wrong.

Truer words never spoken. Couple days ago, I had a good friend tell me that he had recently started hooking up with this girl that we both work with. I basically told him, "That's cool, but just so you know and in case it ends up coming up at some point later, I wanted you to hear from me that we had some history about a year ago." He asked me if I minded that he keeps going after her, I said of course not, proceed. He thanked me for being up front, I thanked him for asking even though it wasn't necessary. It's a simple guy code.

She, on the other hand, is pissed, because apparently she told him that he was the first guy at work that she's ever hooked up with, and now she knows she got busted lying.

That doesn't make her complex... it makes her a lying whore.

Eh...its more along the lines of guys having a very simple understanding when it comes to this thing: be upfront and there's no issues. Girls either refuse to think of the ramifications of what they say or end up with a fuckin algorithm-like connection between what they want to say, plan to say, end up saying, and what the results are of what they said. She probably thought that he wouldn't be interested in her anymore if he found out I'd been there first, but didn't even consider the thought that if she was honest he wouldn't care (which he told me is how he would've felt).

Dodgerchick 02-17-2010 11:54 AM

She probably saw you scoping out her breasts and thought, "hey, I'll just tease him a little for fun." And that she did. You did well by not doing anything she sounds like a cocktease.

This is actually what I was thinking. I'd think that if she was really interested in conversation, she would've at least looked at him while she was sitting across from him. It sounds to me like she just wanted to be seen, which is fine. She gets attention, he gets a good view, everybody wins. Including FOFC.

I'm sure M BLUE BALLS!!! or whatever his name is would love to post pics of himself.

lurker 02-17-2010 01:40 PM

I bet she didn't even notice him looking at her and grabbed a random seat. He should have tried to make eye contact and smiled or something to see if she smiled back. If she didn't, then he should stop staring at her and let her enjoy her lunch!

I was actually writing a girl back on facebook, so I was using my normal humor and forget to switch it off before logging on.

That's really more of a divide-by-zero error.
