I had high doubts about the movie, but my g/f wanted to see it. She pretty much had high doubts about it too. It more a curiosity thing than "I think this is going to be great" thing.

Well the majority of people who saw the movie will have to hope he ignores your plea.

You have to admit, though, it was the freakiest caricature of Alice In Wonderland EVER.

Can anyone who has seen it offer a brief summary? I remember seeing the ads for this like two years ago, but thought it got dropped.

Car full of teenagers break down in the middle of nowhere and end up at a house full of psychos.

Kind of like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre with Matthew McCoughahey (sp?), among others, in it?

Curious why you would reference this version instead of the original, which is so much better?

Good Point Couriers... The Original is absolutely the Undisputed Best of them All.

On a side note, I just picked up a piece of info on the Original from HouseofHorrors.com

I highly doubt that you psychicly know how most people who've seen this movie fell about it.

sabotai, No offense but I am really hoping that we disagree on this particular movie. I am a huge horror fan and have been looking forward to a throwback to the 70s type terror that they were all about. Besides that I dig just about everything Rob Zombie has done so far.

MK, the original Texas Chainsaw was one of the first movies to absolutely scare me to all hell. It is one of my all-time favorite horror flicks and I couldn't imagine it getting a PG rating. Actually, come to think of it, the R rating might be a bit off base just for the overall freak value of the film. Classic.

I'm a big Rob Zombie fan too, which is one of the reasons I went to it. However, I'm not sure if I like 70's horror movies, simply because I have not seen many. :)

But if you are a huge fan of those movies, than you might like this one. To be honest, I did like the movie until about halfway into it. Then, for me, it just went downhill.

That is a popular belief by many people and I couldn't hold it against you. However, you may actually be familiar with more than you realize.

I don't pshchicly know anything. However from the two times I have seen it so far the vast majority of people who have seen it enjoyed it quite a bit. In fact a brief check online will show that it is getting very good reviews from people who have seen it and aren't paid to tell people what to think. So I'll continue not to psychicly know how people fell about the movie and you continue to speak for everyone.

I've seen about half of those. The more popular ones...never considered Jaws or Alien a horror movie though. )

And The Omen was a great movie.

I saw Salem's Lot and When A Stranger Calls (also the Shining) when I was a kid. Both of them terrified me for a long, long time.

I actually watched Salem's Lot a couple of years ago and it didn't seem to hold up to the test of time, particularly editing-wise. But still, the blue vampire at the end brought back the memories. :)
