What do you eat on your pizza?

Really bored and eating re-heated pizza, I like onions and peppers.

Vince 04-15-2003 03:02 AM

Ah, Pizza...I could go on for days about pizza. Some personal favorite combinations:

Salami + Onion + Pepperocini + Tomato

Sausage + Green Pepper

Pepperoni + Jalapeno

White Garlic Sauce + Feta Cheese + Chicken + Onions

I'm amazed that after a year and a half of eating practically nothing but Pizza (I work at a pizza place, and it's free for me), I'm still not sick of it. Strange...

Veggies do not belong on pizza, heathens. I think fungus is technically ok but no green or white veggies- save that for the hippies. A million types of meat and cheese are what belongs on pizza.

Man, we have a pizza, called "The All-Meat Orgy." I am a carnivore of the first degree, but this pizza is just ridiculous. Weighing in at just over 3 pounds, this pizza has Pepperoni, Salami, Canadian Bacon, Sausage and Ground Beef...not to mention the extra cheese. It's a heart attack waiting to happen.

Rich1033 04-15-2003 03:37 AM

Yes, I agree. Lots of meat and cheese.

My favorites are:
Chicken + Bacon
Groung Beef + Bacon + Cheddar Cheese (aka bacon cheeseburger pizza)

Vince 04-15-2003 03:45 AM

Cheddar Cheese is excellent on Pizza, I'm pretty bummed my store doesn't carry it. Now, if you want gourmet style pizza (definitely in a different class than delivery pizza), I'd say hit up California Pizza Kitchen. They've had some great ideas...

1) Black or Refried beans instead of Pizza sauce.
2) "Pizza Salad," with the pizza cooked, and the toppings put on top afterwards, uncooked.
3) Philly Cheesesteak Pizza. Nothing more needs to be said.

I know they didn't come up with these ideas, but they implement them very well.

i gotta drop about 5 more pounds..... Summer's almost here and i live on the beach. :)

Bee 04-15-2003 06:14 AM

pineapple is a must

illinifan999 04-15-2003 06:19 AM

I tried Cool Ranch Doritos on mine once. It was pretty good.

Schmidty 04-15-2003 06:37 AM

Double cheese and olive oil instead of sauce.

Kevin 04-15-2003 06:38 AM

Pepperoni, onion, green pepper and extra sauce.

A close second is donair pizza.

Ksyrup 04-15-2003 06:57 AM

Cheese and meat, hold the sauce and crust.

GrantDawg 04-15-2003 07:31 AM

Gyro meat, tomatoes, olives, feta cheese and mozzerella cheese. Of course, I like all pizza.

PilotMan 04-15-2003 07:43 AM

Sauerkraut and Canadian Bacon or ham #1
Pepperoni, onion and banana pepper #2

extra cheese is always good.mmmm

CamEdwards 04-15-2003 07:45 AM

Sausage and mushroom.

The thought of saurkraut on pizza makes me queasy.

QuikSand 04-15-2003 08:02 AM

Mrs. Q and I are fond of a particular combination:

black olives
green olives
feta cheese
banana or jalapeno peppers

That's a damned good pizza, for my money.

MJ4H 04-15-2003 09:39 AM

i like cheeseburgers on my pizza

Craptacular 04-15-2003 09:54 AM

No cheese, extra sauce over the toppings to hold them on, pepperoni, sausage, bacon, ham, ground beef, green peppers.

henry296 04-15-2003 10:16 AM

Very standard for pizza, just plain old pepperoni.

When I want something different, I enjoy the Hawaiian Pizza (Ham and Pineapple).

I like pretty much anything, but my wife only likes pizza with BBQ sauce instead of marinara... so we usually get the BBQ chicken pizza from our local pizzeria that has chicken, bacon, onions, green pepper, BBQ sauce.

SunDancer 04-15-2003 11:18 AM

What is California Pizza Kitchen?

What makes a good pizza?

digamma 04-15-2003 11:32 AM

A couple of my favorite combos:

1. Chicken, goat cheese and sun dried tomato.
2. Ground beef and feta cheese.

I agree with Vince that cheddar is good on a pizza.
I like CPK (California Pizza Kitchen--a chain of "gourmet" pizza restaurants, serving more of an individual sized pie, with a bunch of different combinations), but it is the only restaurant near my office open after 6, so it is very easy to grow tired of.

Doug5984 04-15-2003 11:34 AM

Pineapple & Ham...mmmm.....its so good.

MizzouRah 04-15-2003 12:05 PM

If I'm watching what I'm eating, I get ham/canadian bacon and green peper.

If I'm not... I get a meat lovers's with double cheese. ;)

Ham (or Canadian Bacon if it's available, pepperoni, and muchrooms. Plus lots of parmesan and crushed red pepper...

FrogMan 04-15-2003 09:23 PM

if it's a thin crust italian style: prosciutto or capicolle, green peppers and some oregano or sweet basil :)

Regular pizza needs some meat on it: pepperoni, sausages, etc with mushrooms and green peppers

Also, don't forget the bacon (around here, we don't feel the need to call it Canadian ;) )
