The boys are back!

Slow start with the first episode... they're neatly laying down plotlines for everyone to follow for the season.

Really glad this is back. I think Turtle is going to be in big trouble.

I saw the Turtle thing and I went "Sexual Harassment Lawsuit coming up this season."

Enjoyed it. Last season was the first one I watched as it was unfolding, so I'm not as jaded as some other longtime viewers. Looking forward to it.

Sloans ugly

Never watched this because I don't have HBO but is Ari Gold the best thing about this show? That's what it looks like from the outside.

I stopped watching last season since I didn't like it and there's a lot more shows out there I'd rather watch. But Sloan was very hot. Why do you say she's ugly, hmm?!???

Him, Lloyd, and Drama were what kept me watching through times I didn't enjoy the show too much.

Seeing if anyone was paying attention. Emmanuelle Chriqui is actually probably the hottest chick on television. :D

And yes Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) is the fuel that keeps this machine running

What kind of business is Turtle running?

Looks like a normal executive driver service with the added benefit (and added cost probably) of being driven by hot women.

It's his dream job. He's been talking about it since last season (or two seasons ago... can't remember.)

I think Ari's wife is a close 2nd to Sloan in the hotness department on the show. But they will all take a back seat to Sasha Grey once she starts her guest staring appearances...

Ari's little diatribe to Dana, a few weeks ago, about having a finger in your ass (rather than me repeating it, hopefully you'll remember if you saw it) killed me. I've seen that episode repeated a few times now and it still cracks me up.

The season is way too short. I really wish they would add a few more episodes !!

Ari's wife seems like the freakier of the two.

Yeah after this season, Ari's wife is the hottest. Sloan is degrading fast...

We didn't even really get to see Sloan this season. It was like...random minimal views of her.

Ari's wife on the other hand - she seems like a freaky chick. And she always seems to be down for a good time.

The storylines in this show have taken a sharp turn to god fucking awful. It would be so much better served by just being a random collection of funny commentary.

I used to love this show but over time I have come to despise nearly every character. If it weren't for Drama (and the hot women) I would have quit this show already.

Really who hasn't despised Vince for a while? He's the stereotypical Hollywood asshole-actor.

And Ari's character was designed to be an asshole, which makes him amusing. It's fun to watch him explode.

Turtle is a freeloading idiot.

Eric's been okay since he's gone out and more "done his own thing" rather than freeloading. And Drama has always been interesting, because he's much more multi-faceted as a character than Vince.

I never got the sense we were really supposed to like Vince/Ari/Turtle.

I think you're supposed to like Eric (now), and to a lesser extent, Drama.

I mean they had to take this route with Vince. He's the weakest character for sure.

This show is getting dangerously close to jumping the shark. For me it use to be must watch and now I am kind of meh on it. Vince and Eric are annoying, Drama has some funny lines, the schtick with Ari is getting old and feels a little forced and the Turtle storyline is just stupid.

interesting. i think this is the best the show has been in YEARS. like, going back to chasing the role in aquaman years.

in fact, since aquaman, all i can tell you is vince made medeillan, career bombed...nothing happened for a few seasons, he made some other movie, and is now working again. meanwhile, eric went solo, drama got a show and lost it, and turtle has done nothing.

so the fact that ANYTHING is happening right now is a good sign

Yeah, completely different for me. I basically watched it out of habit the last few years--regretting it each week--but this year has me sucked in. For the first season in years, I'm actually disappointed when the show ends.

The season finale was pretty intense.

I'll be shocked if everyone isnt right back in a comfy place by the series finale, which means they should've just ended it last season when for the most part everyone had their happy ending.

Is next season the last?

Yep.

Apparently, next season is only 6 episodes, and a movie.

interesting. Kind of glad it is over. This season just felt like one big set up for the future.

Othen than Piven, I wonder if any of the stars have much of a career after Entourage?

I think so. Without doing an IMDB search I think most of them were working befor Entourage.

Yeah, I don't think any of them will completely disappear or anything. I've seen "E" in a few things here and there in the past few years. It just seems like it made Piven into a star and I'm guessing that Turtle and Vince have probably peaked. Kevin Dillon has been around for awhile and will continue to work, I'm sure (his character is essentially based on himself and his own career, if I recall correctly). I'm just surprised that it seems like it will probably not turn out to be the star vehicle that it seemed like it would have been at the peak of its popularity.

I just hope Sloan appears in playboy...

There will be an Entourage movie.

I'm not sure if it was my DVR or the cable, but my recording blacked out after like 19-minutes and didn't come back on until the Ari prologue. :(

HBO's idea of a joke based on the Sopranos or just bad luck (just kidding, kind of)? Looks like I'll have to try DVRing the midnight showing and catching it tomorrow.

Part of me was hoping it wouldn't all wrap up so neatly I guess.

Really sad to see this show end, was a fun 30 minutes every week. I wonder if they were setting up for a spin off in the end or just setting up the inevitable movie.

Finally caught the finale.

I thought it was pretty disappointing actually. It was like they wimped out and didn't or couldn't write the more interesting parts of the finale, so they had them all happen off camera.

Vince falling in love -- nah, we'll just skim that and move on to him telling his buddies he is getting married.

The guys get Sloan to somehow give Eric a chance and they don't show any of their reconciliation.

Spend a couple seasons building up Scott Caan's character, and then give him 5 seconds in the finale. Ditto Lloyd, only they threw him a little more screen time.

It's almost like they didn't trust the actors to be able to pull off the important scenes, so they left it all off camera.

I thought it moved too quickly, but that's what you get when you only shoot half a season worth of episodes.

And a half hour show. I do agree w/ Swaggs that they pretty much glossed over Lloyd and he deserved better.

I agree about the limitations with time, but looking at what they chose to spend time on during the season it is just a poor decision to waste so much time on Andrew Dice Clay or Jaimie Kennedy or seeing Turtle chase investors for another business project over spending any time on Vince falling in love with someone enough to propose to her (for example).

Of the three (what I would call) main characters (Vince, E, and Ari), they really took good care of Ari and pretty much glossed over the other two.

I thought all free of the major relationships gelled too easily.

hated the entire last season, wife and I forced ourselves to watch because we had seen every episode and wanted to see it through, but the entire last season felt like a bad trailer for the movie.
