OT--Hattrick ?

What is the difference between Normal, Match of the Season (or whatever it is called), and Play it Cool. I just told my guys to Play it Cool for the friendly, but I figured I would make sure that is the proper course of action.

Friendlies aren't affected by MOTS or PICs...they only affect league and cup games....PIC will make the players coast through the game, playing half of what they usually do, and it will raise team spirit...MOTS will make them play higher than their rate at the expense of I believe team spirit...

Thanks

PIC : players play an easy game and will increase Team Spirit by 1 level
MOTS : players play at their maximum (most important on midfielders) and Team Spirit is divided by 2 and rounded down

Alf, interesting formula for the effect of MOTS. Where did you get this? Is it in the rules and I missed it?

I will MOTS my cup match tonight, in an attempt for a huge upset. Also, my league is fairly weak (all bot teams) and I plan on firing my inadequate coach after the game. sssshhh, he doesn't know it yet :)

Yes, that is in the rules I believe. MOTS also makes injuries more likely.

Another threadjack HT ? from me...

Ok, so I'm going to lose my cup match, no big deal...so I'm wondering how this works, should I start my young guys for exp no matter what, or should I start my back-up team? What I mean is, a good portion of my first team is 18-20 year olds, so am I better off playing them in the game, or resting them?

Brillig 04-16-2003 02:46 PM

Experience is currently mostly meaningless. Start your back-ups. And if you're training something other than general/stamina/set pieces, get your trainees in there (the ones that didn't play in the league game).

Calis 04-16-2003 03:00 PM

Ok, so as far as training goes, it only matters that they played that week? Doesn't matter if they played 2 games or 1?

If so, that's great...I'll just have to make some changes.

illinifan999 04-16-2003 03:11 PM

Though, next season they are going to try implementing something to make experience more valuable.

Brillig 04-16-2003 03:52 PM

For training, they only have to play in one game - playing in two makes no difference.
