Who was the idiot that thought this one up? Let's come up with a short term solution that has a chance to initially traumatize drivers but will then condition them to think every time they see a kid in the road that it's just an illusion so why bother slowing down (becase the first 1000 times they slowed down it was nothing)...

If you really want people to slow down in that spot on road, put in real fucking speed bumps...

This is like an even worse version of those fake speed bumps that look raised but aren't and inevitably cause me to jump my car across a parking lot Dukes of Hazard style.

Ha! So the reaction is either going to be to freak out and jam on the brakes to avoid hitting an imaginary child, or slow down and end up hitting a real child.

I always slow down to around 10 mph when driving over children, so this would be effective for me.

They should have made it an animal, like a cat.. but, then people would probably just speed up.

What's that in "kmh"?
