FBCB Legends Dynasty

I've been planning on doing a Legends Dynasty with FBCB 2010. The idea is to recreate many of the college basketball icons. I'm debating how far to go back in time but I'm thinking of starting with the ~1979 season and going from there. Most of the guys before that time don't have all the stats available to accurately import into FBCB.

The reason I am posting this here is, I would like some user input on whom I should be adding to the Dynasty as the years go by. The guys will import in the season they started in real life.

Here are the players I have so far, with your input I'll add many more.

Code:

Also I see you have Bo Kimble but no Hank Gathers. Need 'em both.

love the idea, and would also love to get a hand on the file once imported :)

Hey if you are looking for smaller school legends, I'd like to see Rik Smits when he was at Marist. He certainly was a legend there. :)

Ragone 11-02-2010 05:06 AM

Louisville guys include
Pervis Ellison
Dejuan Wheat
Fransisco Garcia
Terrance Williams ;)

DetoxRox - Fab 5 sounds good!
Radii - Great list for ACC, thanks!
jbergey22 - Great, not sure how I missed all those guys in the Big Ten! thanks!
thomkal - Absolutely! Thanks!
Ragone - Thank you!

k0ruptr - Not sure what you are looking for in terms of the file, a file after every year? I can do that if people want it. There is an issue with FBCB importing players, they import a lot better than the FBCB generated players. I am running several tests to see how much great, my plan is to take the imported players down to get them inline.

For example, If I take a complete imported league that's out there and compare it to a FBCB generated league the imported league INS rating is ~15% higher than FBCB generated. Its going to be a lot of work but it should be worth it! I'm really looking forward to when I get to 2010 and start a career with some real life history blended in.

UCLA (and I am sure Bug can add more)

Kiki Vandeweghe
David Greenwood
Reggie Miller
Pooh Richardson
Don MacLean
Tracy Murray
Shon Tarver
Ed O'Bannon
Charles O'Bannon
Tyus Edney
Baron Davis
Earl Watson
Toby Bailey
JR Henderson
Jason Kapono
Jordan Farmar
Arron Afflalo
Luc Richard Mbah A Moute
Darren Collison
Russell Westbrook
Kevin Love

There are a ton others (especially guys who disappeared after college but who were terrific college players), and especially from those early years, but that's a start at least...

Izulde 11-02-2010 09:56 AM

UNLV Runnin' Rebels
You already have Larry Johnson, but you forgot the other two of the Big Three.

Stacey Augmon
Greg Anthony
Sidney Green
Armon Gilliam
Joel Anthony
Marcus Banks
Isiah Rider
Shawn Marion

Pre-1979 UNLV Guys, all in the mid-late 70s)
Reggie Theus
Glen Gondrezick
Ricky Sobers

There's a few other guys who could be included, but I just wanted to hit the big names, as I didn't know how large you want the file to be.

hoopsguy 11-02-2010 10:06 AM

I'm not sure some people understand what "Legends" mean with their list. As an Illini homer, I would throw Dee Brown up there as a bigger name than many that have been listed so far, at least in terms of college basketball. But I think it would be a stretch to put him in the same class as many of the original names listed by Balldog.

korme 11-02-2010 11:46 AM

The 4 biggest canidates for UC:

Nick Van Exel
Danny Fortson
Kenyon Martin
Steve Logan

Balldog 11-02-2010 12:01 PM

My plan is to do as many as feasible, I don't have a number in mind. As long as the guy wasn't a scrub or didn't start I don't mind adding them. The majority of the work on my part will be spread out, I need to go through and find everyone's first year. I can start with 1976, Bird and Griffith will be the initial players created. My initial list was a compilation of Top College Players of All-Time, I originally had all the way back to the Bill Walton, Oscar Robertson, etc. I thought that was going to be a lot of fun but then I found most of their stats other than PPG wasn't available.

I found a nice list for the Big East

The list is so long I can't get it to show up :)
