GPA is pretty impressive for that score. :)

Izulde 01-03-2011 12:25 AM

Please go to UCLA, me. Please go to UCLA. Do not stay in the Midwest.

True. Oh well, at least Madison's a cool town. Used to eat at some good places with the biggest crush of mine from high school when I'd head up to Madtown once a year. Then she got married and I never heard from her again.

2010 - Week 3

Another update from the recruiting process for our 10 recruits.

Clyde Harp - cmp

Michigan State jumps into Clyde's Top 5 as they send an offer his way. Michigan is the early favorite to land the state's top defensive recruit.

Rob Nielsen - Coffee Warlord

Florida is the newcomer this week in the Nielsen recruitment. The 6'2 Quarterback has visits set up with Michigan and UCLA. No word on which school Nielsen is leaning towards as of now.

Moe Farley - kobe360x

Penn State jumps into the Farley sweepstakes as Farley has now set up visits with Texas, Texas A&M and UCLA. Hard to see the Longhorns letting a Top 5 player get away.

Izulde Jestor - Izulde

Oklahoma State is added to Jestor's board this week as they offer him a scholarship. He has added a visit to Ohio State along with his Wisconsin visit. UCLA has made no other contact with the RB however.

Will Brown - vex

The nation's #2 RB surprisingly only has three offers thus far as Syracuse offered Brown this week. He has yet to set up any visits.

David Gonzalez - kingfc22

Cal is the latest to offer the instate kid from Mountain View. Gonzalez may be rated low but he has been putting up monster numbers and Cal took notice. He has set up a visit with Cal and they look to be the leader.

Chas Swaggs - Swaggs

Georgia, Notre Dame, and Washington joined Nebraska in recruiting the nation's #2 CB this week. Swaggs has set up a visit with Notre Dame. Could he be heading to South Bend?

Brian Butts - Ragone

Butts is one of the most recruited players in the country as 10 teams have contacted or offered Butts, much deserved for the nation's #1 RB recruit. Only UCLA has been lucky enough to land as visit from the 5'11 back thus far.

Dean Hoo - law90026

No other kicker in the country is even close to Hoo in talent. He has set up visits with Florida, Florida State and Ohio State. Word on the street is that Florida State and Ohio State are the early leaders for Hoo.

Jace Hunter - Travis

The nation's #1 QB has a solid list thus far but has yet to set up any visits. The quarterback from Massachusetts has offers from all over the country.

2010 - Week 3 - Recruit Stats

Here's how the recruits played in their 7th game of the season.

kingfc22 01-03-2011 01:41 AM

You would think Stanford would notice me as I'm literally about 10 minutes down the road, but I'm sure by GPA isn't winning over anyone in admissions.

Give me Cal or USC. Please no Joe Pa since I will never see the ball thrown my way.

law90026 01-03-2011 03:14 AM

16/16 FGM? Guess who's going to be the new points leader in the NFL!

Gimme some Florida hunnys ... I mean sun please.

cmp 01-03-2011 03:34 AM

2010 - Week 4 Recruiting Update

The 4th week of the recruiting process has bought some changes.

Clyde Harp - cmp

Auburn, BYU, Mississippi State and Virginia are the newcomers to Harp's list. Virginia lands a visit right away. Harp also adds Michigan State to his visit list. Recruiting insiders think he is leaning towards staying instate, but where to? Michigan or Michigan State?

Rob Nielsen - Coffee Warlord

Florida State and TCU add offers to Nielsen's collection. Nielsen still is only visiting Michigan and UCLA. Right now they are strong top two. No clear lead between them.

Moe Farley - kobe360x

Add Nebraska to Farley's list. Insiders don't believe Farley will leave the state of Texas though. UCLA isn't giving up hope though.

Izulde Jestor - Izulde

Florida State jumps onto Jestor's list. Jestor still only has visits set up with Ohio State and Wisconsin but can one of the out of town schools, Florida State, Oklahoma State or UCLA steal him away from the Midwest?

Will Brown - vex

Brown picks up four new offers this week and set up a visit with Florida. The early leaders, Kansas State and Notre Dame seem to have fallen out of favor with Brown.

David Gonzalez - kingfc22

Gonzalez keeps on putting up monster numbers and is beginning to attract some more attention. UCLA jumps into the mix for Gonzalez and lands a visit. Could we have a new leader for the receiver?

Chas Swaggs - Swaggs

Swaggs picks up an offer from Oklahoma this week. No changes other than that as Notre Dame remains the early leader.

Brian Butts - Ragone

Add Clemson and Washington to Butts already huge list. Washington also picks up a visit to go along with his visit to UCLA.

Dean Hoo - law90026

Kansas State jumps into the mix this week for the top kicker in the nation. Nebraska lands Hoo's fourth visit having already visited Florida, Florida State and Ohio State.

Jace Hunter - Travis

Add Clemson and Michigan to those vying for Hunter's services. Michigan also picks up a visit.

cmp 01-03-2011 03:40 AM

2010 - Week 4 - Recruit Stats

Huge games from David Gonzalez, 12 catches for 334 yards and 2 touchdowns and Brian Butts, 34 carries for 275 yards, 4 catches for 135 yards.

cmp 01-03-2011 03:49 AM

I will have a few more updates tomorrow and hopefully be ready for the first college season Tuesday. That should allow enough time for a new batch of recruits to jump in.

Izulde 01-03-2011 04:03 AM

Just wanted to say I love the charts you've set up.

Coffee Warlord 01-03-2011 09:07 AM

Me and Gonzalez need to just take over UCLA.

edit: And Butts. The trifecta of offensive power.

Do you honestly think I do my own homework? :)

Coffee Warlord 01-03-2011 10:22 AM

And, to triple-dola...

Rob Nielsen and his million dollar arm (hear that, UCLA? That's the going rate for your future star QB) would like to note he is leading all you wanna be QB punks in TD passes. :)

cmp 01-03-2011 12:54 PM

Seeing as how we already have 4 new recruits for the 2011 season we will definitely be getting to the college season by tomorrow.

cmp 01-03-2011 12:55 PM

I really hope Clyde doesn't become a Spartan. The Wolverines seem like the best fit but we will see what happens.

vex 01-03-2011 01:22 PM

Ouch, a rough DNP for Jace Hunter in week 7. Must be a lot of talent on that team!

cmp 01-03-2011 02:26 PM

Alright, this thing is definitely going well, 8 recruits for 2011, so I am going to finish up the recruitment process tonight for the 2010 recruits so we can get more players involved.

Booyah!

Boys? Big screen TV's are on me. You guys handle building the bar in our dorm.

Although in addition to the ... ahem ... charitable donations to the Nielsen QB Domination Fund, UCLA is gonna need to be paying for armies of people to do my homework and keep my ass eligible.

The 2010 season is now wrapped. We'll be moving onto the 2011 this afternoon. 2011 will also be a fairly quick season, 2 or 3 days, as I'm expecting a majority of our players to be redshirted. We will also have 10 brand new recruits and 3 waiting for 2012. Once we get to 2012 our season's will slow down a bit.

cmp 01-04-2011 12:30 PM

2011 has a full class of recruits, 10. Anyone wishing to join can head over to the sign-up thread and sign-up for 2012. 2012 currently has 3 recruits.
