FOFC Super Bowl Attendees

If anyone is going to the NFL Experience next Thursday with their kid, or the Super Bowl in Dallas, drop me a line.

Even those spending 200 dollars to stand outside the stadium.

I won't be able to make it to the game, but I'm definitely going to be around for the Never Miss a Super Bowl Club Lemon Party

i actually have two different lines on tickets and am seriously thinking about going, depending on who is playing.

My team is the host but the big bust during the season. I am going so my son and I can have a good memory of doing this together.

It looks like no matter what you will get a pretty good game as well. Can't always say that in the past with games like Balt/NY or Tampa/Oakland.

You couldn't pay me to go to Arlington (or Fort Worth) during the next two weeks. Thank god my commute is nowhere near there...

Wondering what the crowd will be like for the NFL Experience on Thursday night? Hope its not a thrill kill, but I am sure my son will see it as nothing short of amazing.

Isn't it running daily until Super Bowl Sunday?

When I went back in 2004, it was one of the highlights. The whole trip was amazing, but the NFL Experience was really cool. Seeing the players, a bunch of memorabilia, and being able to do things like kick a field goal, get timed for the 40, etc were a blast.

It is running almost daily, but your ticket is for a specific date and time. Thursday is 5-10, I think.

I am going to see if Tony Dorsett will race my kid in the 40.

Ah, gotcha. I didn't realize it was set up like that. Sounds like it will be a blast!

Pretty fun. We walked up right as Drew Pearson showed up in an armored Brinks truck to deliver the Lombardi Trophy. So, my son and I walked along with him filming it until he almost dropped it when the escalator stopped.

We followed him to the holding area, and were the first ones to get our picture taken next to the trophy. I am pretty sure we will frame that one.

Kid raced some other kids in the 40 and other skills, got his picture on a stage to look like the NFL draft with a #1 Dallas Cowboys jersey, got his football card made, paid 12 dollars for a gatorade and a water, saw a bunch of jerseys from old timers like Bronko Nagurski, Sid Luckman, and Red Grange. Saw all the Super Bowl rings, went into the NFL shop and got my son 3-4 things that cost 150 bucks, went outside in the dark, and walked past some protesters saying only rich people get to go to these events. Then there was this giant Super Bowl sign up on this grass knoll that was lit up and games were playing on the letters and numbers. I have to say that is what impressed me the most. As to NFL guys, they were mostly ex-Cowboys from the heyday. I think alot of guys are at the Pro Bowl.

Still, my kid had a blast, and I am tired and old.

cartman 01-27-2011 09:48 PM

Sounds awesome! I'm heading up next weekend to experience life on the periphery of the Super Bowl experience.

MIJB#19 01-28-2011 07:01 PM

Sounds like you had a blast, Senator.

Senator 01-28-2011 10:06 PM

I did, but Senator Jr. did it up right. He about broke me in the NFL shop, but for some reason I didn't mind so much. Our picture together in front of the Lombardi trophy is really special.
