Noop and Sun Tzu got into a bit of tiff in the "cool pic" thread and things got a little personal.

...Seriously? That was like two weeks ago. And they're just boxing him for it now?

It looked to me like they kept sniping at one another. The 'main' kerfluffle mighta been two weeks ago, but Noop called Sun Tzu a naughty name on Tuesday. I'd imagine that was the cherry on top.

Sun was trolling yesterday, rehashing all of that stuff from a couple of weeks ago, and noop couldn't resist. I'm not sure if final punishments were levied, but Wade suspended them both pending Ben's review.

Noops needs to keep a cooler head, but it was pretty obvious Sun Tsu was instigating him.

And being quite bragadocious about it.

Apparently not. Cool images seem to bring out the worst in people. Who knew?

...and now that I've gotten around to reading over what happened in this flare-up, that's pretty much exactly my take. Both were told to back off. When Sun Tzu started it back up, Noop should have walked away and/or reported the post. That said, Sun Tzu is clearly at bigger fault on this one.

Never saw the pic. Just hearing about it now. Having a discussion with the Secret Illuminati right now about what to do. I found it extremely weird that Sun Tzu posted that pic to begin with. *shurg*

I think his reasoning was:

- Someone (Noop maybe?) posted stuff saying Sun Tzu wouldn't know if his wife was cheating on him.
- Sun Tzu posted what I assume was a recent happy picture of him and his wife being happy together I guess in a way of showing that person was full of it.
- Someone different then defaced that picture by drawing immature and obscene stuff on it.


Of course my take of the situation might be off in between the handfuls of popcorn I was eating while watching it all unfold.

I get all of that. It's just extremely dumb/naive/something to post a pic of you and your wife in the middle of an internet pissing match. *shurg*

I'm not sure that internet pissing matches are the first place I would go to look for signs of calm rational thinking anyways :)

Right..right. I've never gotten any of that. It's so easy to avoid that sort of thing on the web--much easier than real life where words can come out of your mouth without you thinking about them. Here, you always have the opportunity to measure and rewrite.

Just to be clear, nothing was done to his wife in the pic, just Sun Tzu himself.

I'll will take whatever punishment I get, but by posting that pic it was almost like he as asking for it ;)

Well, I think what really happened is Ben felt bad for him, so he departed from the usual boxing guidelines and lowered it to 3 days. ;)

Not that I really have a dog in this fight, but if Sun Tzu's boxing was determined without knowing about that picture, I wonder if it should be different now that that's known.

Anyway, I think we should all vote on every punishment that gets doled out. Everyone gets a number of votes equal to their post count.

I think the upswing in the popularity of mixed martial arts has really made this decision somewhat of a non-factor for most youths nowadays.
