The Marlins' New Ballpark Will Have A Light-Up Neon Home Run Structure That Will Blow Your Mind

It's horrific.

No way that comes to fruition. What a disaster.

That's going to look great in front of a Reno casino....err baseball stadium.

I kind of like it. It looks like some crazy, animated Hindu painting.

Considering their new logo, it fits right in.

And no, this isn't some kind of promo logo or test, this is the Marlins' actuall new team logo:

I actually kinda don't mind the new logo.

Are the fishtanks in the backstop serious as well? It's like they are building a tacky baseball amusement park. Centered around marine life.

And people wonder why there are teams like the Marlins...

Reading the MLB thread first, I really didn't think you guys were serious.

I'm hoping they build a hill with a flagpole in centerfield.

My initial thought was "wow that's bad". My second thought was "Wait....why the fuck are the Marlins getting a new stadium? Are they building a much smaller one so that stop wasting so much space?"

I'm not a huge fan of the home run sign but I like the rest of the shtick they got going - the logo, the fish tanks, the weirdly small stadium. They can be like any other low-payroll loser team or they can bring something interesting to the table and actually have some kind of individual identity. Why not?

Edit: Miami baseball is either going to be a smattering of old men with ill-fitted trousers or its going to be something different with a lot of neon lights. Those are kind of the two choices.

I expect it to explode and go up in flames the first time someone hits a homerun.
