Fictional College Database

I'm trying to accumulate a list of fictional colleges and universities for current and future dynasties. I do fairly well creating them, but figure people living in other states might know of cities/towns or whatever that might lend themselves to a good storyline as home to a fictional college or university.

If so, share them here. Here are some I've been working with lately:

Scottsbluff State Lions (Scottsbluff, NE)
Southern Wyoming Storm (Cheyenne, WY)
University of the Rockies Explorers (Golden, CO)
Wyoming State Bushdogs (Casper, WY)
Yellowstone University Rangers (Cody, WY)
Yosemite University Mountain Jays (Mariposa, CA)
Keenesburg State Welders (Keenesburg, CO)
Central Colorado Roadrunners (Denver, CO)

I always wondered why Michigan had Northern, Central, Western and Eastern but not Southern. Stuff like this?

Southern Michigan University Oaks, Jackson, MI

or perhaps?

Charleston State University Charlies, Charleston WV

Similar with Connecticut except no Northern instead.

Grand Canyon University Badgers - Phoenix, AZ (Actually a real school that was going to start a D2 program and even had a coach hired, but pulled it last minute.

Page State Lakers - Page, AZ (People there need something to do besides Lake Powell)

College of Southern Arizona Vaqueros - Marana, AZ (Growing community near Tucson, nicknam spanish for Cowboy)

Casa Grande Scorpions - Casa Grande, AZ (Another growing community south of Phoenix and noted home of outlet stores)

Here are some for larger NC cities without a UNC-system college:

for Jacksonville, NC:
school name: UNC-Jacksonville/Jacksonville State (though there is already a Jacksonville State in AL)
mascot: Marines/Croatans

for Rocky Mount, NC:
possibility 1: Wesleyan College Battling Bishops (extant private school in D-III)
possibility 2: Rocky Mount State Millers (a fictional HBCU)

And the same for MI:

Oakland State Automators, Pontiac, MI
Warren State Carriagemen, Warren, MI
Grand Rapids College Carpenters, Grand Rapids, MI (private)

I have always wanted a team at Utah Valley University...they have a basketball team, baseball and such..but the board refuses to give them a football team because of competing with BYU for fans / attendance.

Forgot about this thread but bumping it to add these schools to their own conference for basketball.

Trying to come up with a D2 powerhouse school that's going to move up from the NAIA ranks. Or from D3. Either way, this list is useful.
