Suggs – cro bar incident??????
 

y wife is from Arizona (we live in the suburbs of SF) and I had her call her dad after the Cardinals traded down. He told her that Suggs hit somebody with a cro bar a few days ago and is under questioning by the police and that is why they passed on him.

Has anyone else heard about this?

If it is true, I can’t believe they are not talking about it on ESPN.

makes you wonder why a guy who was once projected #3 ended up dropping that far and ultimately signing with "Thug Life" Baltimore.

He was clearly the most dominating end in college football last year.

I follow the program at ASU fairly closely...and there are still a lot of questions about who was at fault in this fight. Nonetheless, it probably did scare a few teams from taking him higher.

It answers alot of questions...

Word locally is that the fight may have been provoked/started by the guy he beat up. No charges have been filed at this point, at least not against Suggs.

But still, you don't use a cro bar on someone's dome unless you're playing Half-Life.

I doubt this had much to do with it. More likely it was his lack of great 40 yard dash times which did him in. Teams seem to value numbers like 4.6 rather than 20 sacks come draft day for some reason. I have few doubts that Suggs will be a fine pro.

I think the point here is that we really don't know what happened fully (the press reports here have been conflicting.

And personally, if some a**hole is coming after me to beat the crap out of me, a tire-iron up the side of the head may only be part of what I'd do to him, if available.
