Whew, was able to talk the three into staying. They were the crown jewels of my first recruiting class.

I convinced both my guys to stay. Still, I lost a LOT of talent to graduation - top 2 QB's, top 2 RB's, top 3 WR's, and a bunch of other solid players.

I convinced Scott and McCarthy to stay, looks like Kodos receives a new transfer with Williams.

Woot!

I lost my LB, my defense is likely going to be taking a step back next year.

But, I did convince the Heisman trophy winner to come back for a chance at a championship. w00t!

It's going to be VERY competitive next year. My starting QB stayed with some WR talent, should be able to replace RB and others. I'm a bit worried about my defense that was winning lots of games for me, we'll have to see how that does.

I'm sad to see the CB go. He was an important part of the defense and I can't help but to think that his draft prospects aren't nearly as high as he thinks. The HB made the right decision to seek a transfer and I wasn't going to stand in his way.

I'll advance us to the next stage tonight.

I keep getting a transfer failed message after I exit out of the Players Leaving section. It did this the other night too. We could have a problem.

Screw it. I just let them leave. I was able to get it to save once, and got my the best player to stay. Still kinda sucks though. Now extremely thin at OT.

That was easy. Didn't have anyone interested in transferring to Rice.

I will finish it tonight.

I'm working 16-18 hour days until Thursday evening. Is there any way to check to see if I have anyone that wants in? If not, you can skip me.

No way to check, unfortunately.

No one wanted to come play for us either.

Yeah, no one wanted to come play at UB...go figure...I am what 2-1000000000...

I should have 2 great RBs this next season with a decent passing game...my defense will be my question mark, but I have a 4* OLB and talent in the secondary to at least pull out a .500+ season.

We can wait until Friday night if that helps.

Back-to-back nights of getting home after 1 AM, only to have one of my kids wake me up before 5:30. Lucky for them that they're still cute. Even at 5:30.

There was nothing to do. Apparently all the nasty things you people have been saying about my program discouraged anyone from wanting to come.

Cool. I will move us forward tonight after the kids are in bed.

Recruiting -Week 1 - Deadline Monday (5/14) at 11 p.m.
 

We're back to recruiting. Come to Indiana!

The disc drive on my Xbox is on its last legs. I can still coax it into playing NCAA after 2 or 3 tries, but even new dvds don't run. I'll see if I can get through week 2 of recruiting, but then I will have to box it up and send it in to get fixed.

If only they had fixed the website during the last several months. Then I wouldn't even miss a beat.

You can try changing the website to the old version. Check the upper-left.

We are all set to advance.

I'll give that a try. The old website was a little unreliable, but still had an 85-90% success rate, which I think is probably good enough.

Recruiting -Week 2 - Deadline Thursday (5/17) at 11 p.m.
 

It'd be great if we could beat the deadline again though.... :)

Stupid Penn State signed TWO 4-* QBs, including one I was targeting (and was trailing but close on). Someone will be transferring soon...

The old website worked well enough, so I am done with this week. Now all I need is some players with a little interest in coming to Durham.

Not sure if I set to advance, but I am done recruiting for week two.

Looks like we have 3 guys left who need to recruit.

I will be recruiting tonight when I get home from a dinner date with the GF.

Pleasant Surprise on getting two kickers and a 3 star SS and OLB...my recruiting class is starting to gel and become a decent class....Not going to complain.

Looks like we are ready to advance. I'll do it tonight.

Week 3 - Deadline Monday (5/21) at 11 p.m.
 

On to Week 3 of recruiting.

Picked up another 3 star linebacker...that puts me in over two seasons with 3 3 star OLB's and 1 4 star OLB. I hope to move one of them to the inside and see where that gets me.

I also picked up a commit from a 1* G

Trying desperately to get some 4- and 5-* talent on board to compete with the big boys, but falling JUST short. You'd think a BCS bowl win, a regular bowl win, and 2 losses in 2 seasons would have my coach prestige above a "D", plus my TV exposure above a "D+", but alas...

Getting toward the end of recruiting.

1* guard signed with us and we are in the running for some 2* and 3* players...hoping to knock those down this week. If not week 5 will be feast or famine.

Reminder: Recruiting deadline for Week 4 is 11 pm EST tonight.

Alright! Got a 4-star QB to commit! Maybe our passing game can improve a bit.

a 2 star WR and a 3 star OLB commit, looks like I definitely need to move one of my talents to MLB.

I have the chance at picking up some TE talent as well.

No commits still, have some hope for a handful of 4-* and 5-* players.
