Save my season....Please help!

So I had a really strange and unfortunate thing happen to me....

Been playing the current career for quite awhile now and i was just wrapping up the current regular season ....finished 13-3 poised well for the playoffs. I'm the type that likes to watch each of my games sim and save after each game. The problem was there was a glitch in the save and now the schedule for the playoffs isnt coming up!! All the stats are there but it saved weird.

I save the game under the same name each time.

I searched the computer and found all my saves but how do i restore to a previous save?

Please help....worked too hard on this to lose it all!

...that makes me think you are doing things really differently from the way I do. Are you doing a "Save As..." when you save and re-doing all the history files?

You need to put the files in the league folder, basically

So which file do I put where?

There are files for each save and then files with the following extensions:
.fju .fpd. .fpd .fpn .fps .fpx .frc

Quicksand - I dont do a "save as" but just a basic save after every week.

Assuming you're playing single player, all these files go into the "universe" directory, though I don't see how they would appear anywhere else witout you doing it yourself. Good luck.

There is no previous save to go back to unless you made one yourself, either manually or with backup software.

Maybe I am mistaken and it only goes for MP leagues. But in MP, the files with the league name followed by the year -the stat files- go in the leagues folder.

I think SP is different.

SP is different. The files go in the universe folder. And yes, unless he did a "Save As" or backed up the folder at some point, there is no going back.

I'd like a little direction on this under SP.

Is SaveAs the option to save under a different League Id?

This sound really strange. I do the exact same thing the OP mentioned. I watch my games instead of just doing a quick sim and then save after every week or at least when I decide to quit playing.

I just hit the save button with the hard disk picture shown and it works fine every time. Been doing that for years and never had any problems. Does make me wonder if he saves it in a different way at times.

For SP there are a few pics of some old hard disc images up on the toolbar. One simply saves your current game under the previous name (overwriting the old save) and the other image gives you an option to save it under a different name (that way you can create multiple saves if you like).

There is also a hard disk image that allows you to delete saves (this gets blanked out after you have already loaded up a save).

Thank-you for clarifying that.
