A friend of mine sent me a link to this cool website... I thought it might be interesting to some of you.

Thanks for the Link.. Great Stuff..

By the way, you may want to check out this program on the History Channel titled April 1865, if you haven't seen it already that is.. It's a real in-depth account of what happened at the conclusion of the Civil War as well as a look back at President Lincoln's Assassination. A very interesting program to say the least...

I will watch it, thanks Myles!! I also can't wait to see that show about the Death of Julius Cesear they have been advetising.

I obviously have the ACW one in my library and while it is an interesting approach, I have found cartographic faults that makes them not as clear as the ones from Time-Life and others. The value of this collection, I think, in its breadth and depth of the major wars/conflicts.

maps are good, but nothing beats a staff ride.

sachmo - thanks. I knew about these but it is nice to be reminded of gems you lose track of.

sachmo -- I saw the one on Caesar last night and wasn't really as impressed by it as I usually am with their work. It felt sort of like, I don't know, I'd seen a good bit of the material before (in other THC programs) or something.
