RIP Richard, thanks for the entertainment.

And married to the great Diana Dors before time fed her gullet to maximum density.

He seemed like a nice enough person from what I ever saw about him. Like the kind of person you could sit and have a beer with.

I miss the old timey game shows where it seemed like everyone was having a great time was all boozed up.

I thought of this too - Family guy on the Family Feud....terrible video quality but the whole thing is on Hulu Plus if you have it.

I love watching old Family Feud with Richard Dawson on GSN, especially when they're followed up by a Ray Combs episode, or a current Richard Karn/John O'Hurley/Steve Harvey version.

The things Dawson did that would have the censors and public going nuts today always crack me up, wheter it was a non-PC comment or making out with the mom and 3 daughters of a family after ignoring the dad.

And can't forget his work on The Match Game. Classic.

maybe, but I've also always pictured him as the uncle you do NOT let babysit your kids.

He could be incredibly petty. When they first approached him to do the Family Feud, they wouldn't let him out of his contract to be on the Match Game, so he visibly sulked for the next few months (on air as well as off air)

But survey says.. he'll be greatly missed.
