Your own personal venn diagram

I think about this from time to time. What categories or classifications, with the least absurdity possible, can be overlaid to create an intersection that *probably* includes nobody in the entire multiverse other than you, personally.

Hard to score this as a contest, but the peanut gallery will award points based on categories including intriguing, humorous, and insightful.

Begin.

britrock88 06-15-2012 05:04 PM

Up until a couple years ago, when "Noah" became one of the hottest baby names out there, I could probably have gotten down to me with just a Venn of my first name and my last name.

jeff061 06-15-2012 05:09 PM

A lot of potential here.

Shkspr 06-15-2012 06:22 PM

"least absurdity possible"? I'm stumped.

QuikSand 06-15-2012 06:31 PM

Sorry, had to tend to family stuff. As always, the recursive process of rephrasing and clarifying will now proceed to vampire the fun out of the enterprise.

What I want to avoid is banal crap like "people with my social security number" or "people born at 11:18am on February 9th, 1977 in Memphis." What I want, as an example, might be more like "people with extra joints in their second toes" or "people who think George Lazenby was the best movie James Bond."

I have to presume this brings back a null value.

larrymcg421 06-15-2012 08:16 PM

"People who are sworn Celtics fans for life" + "People who hate anything the Patriots have done, are doing, or will do in the future" = Me

lighthousekeeper 06-15-2012 08:34 PM

People who were accepted to MIT + People who chose Rutgers instead

Shkspr 06-15-2012 08:47 PM

Upon further reflection, I'm not certain I need a non-trivial distinction apart from the category "Men who lost their girlfriends to Neil Patrick Harris". However, we'll intersect that with the category "People who own full cricket kits".

lighthousekeeper 06-15-2012 08:50 PM

awesome.

'Twas less so at the time. Nevertheless, I highly recommend that when in high school and shopping for a nemesis, to pick one that is not currently starring in a sitcom for ABC. When Neil came out a few years ago, I was probably the only person in the world whose reaction was, "Take that, Cheryl!", followed by, "Did he ever see me in my underwear?"

that there's another venn diagram.

panerd 06-15-2012 11:51 PM

People not named MBBF + People who enjoy MBBF's posts

britrock88 06-16-2012 01:08 AM

So it it a bonus if each criterion is fairly broad while maintaining a very narrow intersection between them? I would think so.

britrock88 06-16-2012 01:10 AM

"People who drove to Canada to capitalize on the lower drinking age" : "People who drank underage in Canada" comes to mind. Probably not quite unique enough, though.

britrock88 06-16-2012 01:13 AM

I wonder what the class size is for "people on this forum" : "people who have never played FOF."

Whatever size it is, I'm guessing spouses + hattrick only people (maybe there are werewolf only people too?) accounts for much of it.

QuikSand 06-16-2012 06:55 AM

People who know every note of Blue Oyster Cult's album "Fire Of Unknown Origin"

plus

People whose favorite football player was Miami DE Bill Stanfill, essentially based on the awesome card

I always felt he was too young to be trusted as a doctor regardless of his educational attainments.

Suicane75 06-16-2012 09:10 AM

I did some calculating last night and I would guess I've spent more than 6 months of my life masturbating. I dunno how that fits in here.

Buccaneer 06-16-2012 09:15 AM

People who do road trips + people who goes hours out of the way just to grab a remote county

Haha. My obsession with LBJ, Dazed and Confused, and the Friday Night Lights TV series led to an interest in the state. Combined with my love for good journalism, a subscription to Texas Monthly was the next step. It really was a terrific magazine back when Evan Smith was editing it--up with New York magazine as one of the best regional periodicals (and, really, one of the best magazines, period).

britrock88 06-17-2012 12:20 PM

Think that should cover it, stelmack. What genre?

In keeping with the spirit of QS's OP,

People who stepped on David Rockefeller's foot in an elevator + people whose daughter's name appears in Aurebesh in the Star Tours ride store in Hollywood Studio = me.

shhhhh this isn't a confessional moment Jim, you don't have to admit to embarrassing things like not liking Star Wars ..... ;)

On the other hand I could always change mine to:

"Software Developer" + "People over 40 who like Glee"

I suppose ;)

wade moore 06-18-2012 10:31 AM

Seems like people are going really specific here, I thought the point was to try and pick categories that are as broad as possible, but have few people that intersect.

Plays Disc Golf + Country Line Dances + Owns Miniature Pinschers
