Your own personal venn diagram
I think about this from time to time. What categories or classifications, with the least absurdity possible, can be overlaid to create an intersection that *probably* includes nobody in the entire multiverse other than you, personally.
Hard to score this as a contest, but the peanut gallery will award points based on categories including intriguing, humorous, and insightful. Begin. |
Up until a couple years ago, when "Noah" became one of the hottest baby names out there, I could probably have gotten down to me with just a Venn of my first name and my last name.
|
A lot of potential here.
|
"least absurdity possible"? I'm stumped.
|
Sorry, had to tend to family stuff. As always, the recursive process of rephrasing and clarifying will now proceed to vampire the fun out of the enterprise.
What I want to avoid is banal crap like "people with my social security number" or "people born at 11:18am on February 9th, 1977 in Memphis." What I want, as an example, might be more like "people with extra joints in their second toes" or "people who think George Lazenby was the best movie James Bond." |
Quote:
I have to presume this brings back a null value. |
"People who are sworn Celtics fans for life" + "People who hate anything the Patriots have done, are doing, or will do in the future" = Me
|
People who were accepted to MIT + People who chose Rutgers instead
|
Upon further reflection, I'm not certain I need a non-trivial distinction apart from the category "Men who lost their girlfriends to Neil Patrick Harris". However, we'll intersect that with the category "People who own full cricket kits".
|
awesome.

'Twas less so at the time. Nevertheless, I highly recommend that when in high school and shopping for a nemesis, to pick one that is not currently starring in a sitcom for ABC. When Neil came out a few years ago, I was probably the only person in the world whose reaction was, "Take that, Cheryl!", followed by, "Did he ever see me in my underwear?" |

that there's another venn diagram. |
People not named MBBF + People who enjoy MBBF's posts
|
So it it a bonus if each criterion is fairly broad while maintaining a very narrow intersection between them? I would think so.
|
"People who drove to Canada to capitalize on the lower drinking age" : "People who drank underage in Canada" comes to mind. Probably not quite unique enough, though.
|
I wonder what the class size is for "people on this forum" : "people who have never played FOF."
|
Quote:
Whatever size it is, I'm guessing spouses + hattrick only people (maybe there are werewolf only people too?) accounts for much of it. |
People who know every note of Blue Oyster Cult's album "Fire Of Unknown Origin"
plus People whose favorite football player was Miami DE Bill Stanfill, essentially based on the awesome card |
Quote:
Count me in on that diagram. |
People who read Chess Life in the can
plus People who have grabbed a handful of Ginger Lynn's ass. |
Quote:
I always felt he was too young to be trusted as a doctor regardless of his educational attainments. |
I did some calculating last night and I would guess I've spent more than 6 months of my life masturbating. I dunno how that fits in here.
|
People who do road trips + people who goes hours out of the way just to grab a remote county
|

That's a clown Venn diagram, bro. (sorry, felt like I had to) |
People who have never stepped foot into Texas + People who have subscribed to Texas Monthly
|
Quote:
you interest me |
Quote:
Haha. My obsession with LBJ, Dazed and Confused, and the Friday Night Lights TV series led to an interest in the state. Combined with my love for good journalism, a subscription to Texas Monthly was the next step. It really was a terrific magazine back when Evan Smith was editing it--up with New York magazine as one of the best regional periodicals (and, really, one of the best magazines, period). |
Sports Sim Developer + Owns pig and goats
(not by choice I might add - having an animal mad wife is challenging ;) ) |
"People who consistently vote for the conservative candidate" and "People who named their first-born son after George Carlin".
|
Die hard Steelers fan + Father-in-law who has Ravens season tickets.
|
So far I'm at: Helped create / launch a videogame genre + won a McDonald's regional QuarterPounder with Cheese cooking contest. Not sure yet if I need to narrow it down any farther.
|
Think that should cover it, stelmack. What genre?
|

I think the correct response to this would be... "Cheers." |

In keeping with the spirit of QS's OP,
People who stepped on David Rockefeller's foot in an elevator + people whose daughter's name appears in Aurebesh in the Star Tours ride store in Hollywood Studio = me. |

Tactical Shooter - Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, 1998. |
Cheers to tactics!
|
Software Developers + People who aren't interested in Star Wars or Star Trek + People who have been short-listed for literary prizes.
|
ehh...i'd just go with 'people who created TCY' ftw
|
Quote:
shhhhh this isn't a confessional moment Jim, you don't have to admit to embarrassing things like not liking Star Wars ..... ;) On the other hand I could always change mine to: "Software Developer" + "People over 40 who like Glee" I suppose ;) |
Straight men who have spent a week in a clothing optional, gay mens's resort + fathers of Chinese daughters who are obsessed with Irish step dancing
|
Quote:
   |
Seems like people are going really specific here, I thought the point was to try and pick categories that are as broad as possible, but have few people that intersect.
Plays Disc Golf + Country Line Dances + Owns Miniature Pinschers |
I've always liked this venn diagram
