RIP: Anthony Sedlak

I don't really have any idea of who this is but saw it was a top search topic on yahoo and apperently he died at age 29 of natural causes. What year is this 1724?

Anthony L. Sedlak is a Canadian chef, and the host of Food Network Canada's The Main.

I read the article and saw who he was. (I had never seen the show but am familiar with food network) I just don't understand what natural causes mean I guess.

It means he died from consumption.

Cocaine is a helluva drug (and seasoning).

But seriously, that's strange.

I had a friend, perfectly thin, seeming healthy woman, who died at age 30 from a freak brain aneurysm. It is rare but it happens.

cbc version of the story (and AP is similar IIRC) says
Quote:

his family said Sedlak was found dead in his North Vancouver, B.C., apartment on Friday, after collapsing from an undiagnosed medical condition.

Basically "natural causes" is used as the opposite of foul play and/or some sort of misadventure.

Undiagnosed medical condition's have got to be the worst. There was a kid a year older than me who went on a camping trip in HS, was found dead in his tent the next morning. Some kind of heart condition undetected.

I went to school with a kid who had a stroke when he was a sophomore in HS.

It's a real shame. I met him once at a department store, seemed like a really great guy, really passionate about food. I've been cooking from his recipe book for the last couple of years and everything has been really well received.
