It didn't turn out exactly as planned but I think it went well enough. I was trying to drive the price up on Forte but got stuck with him at $34. Obviously weak at WR but enough options to patchwork the position. All-in-all happy with the way it turned out.

I've never done an auction. Niners D at $5 seems like a steal, though.

D is easily the most overrated position in fantasy football in most leagues. I would likely not pay more than $1. That said, overall I like your team. I love your 3 RB especially ewith the .5 PPR. Ryan is solid and may have a breakout year. Davis is above average. Your WR are weak, but you have five guys who are ok, you will just need to pick the right guys each week.

Also, keep an active eye early on for a breakout receiver from the waiver wire.

This team, as it stands, will not make the playoffs. You need to to make a trade. LeSean McCoy is the only stand alone player that can net you anything of consequence. Package McCoy, Davis, and Ryan for something better.

No offense, but I dont think karl has any idea what he is talking about here.

Last time I had a fantasy team with 3 starting RBs on it, I almost went undefeated. The bonus of the league being PPR and you having at least 2 of the best PPR RB's out there makes this team very close to a juggernaut in my opinion. Matt Ryan is going to have a breakout year this year with all the weapons at his disposal. I would try and upgrade the WR corps at some point though if you get the chance.

I think it's a solid, but not spectacular team. I fear if McCoy gets hurt for any significant time, you might be in trouble. I do really like the value for Young and Freeman.

Sanders could actually provide a decent amount of production. He figures to get a bunch of playing time, even if Wallace shows up.

So my sisters soon to be step son, who I have never met, offered me Demarco Murray and Chicagos defense for Ray Rice and Green Bays defense. I really want to write back a snarky reply with the rejection,but don't want to start a family feud.

The other thing is I don't know if he really doesn't know much about football or if he is trying to fleece me.

I'm not sure why....but Demarco Murray has been flying up draft boards the last week. I don't get it. I pulled up a customized draft list for my father's draft yesterday and Murray was at RB5. Still a horrible deal though.

I like this team, at least some upside at every position.

I'm a bit concerned about RB on that team. If Rice and McFadden stay healthy, great! Otherwise, you have a pair of RBs who might or might not start on offenses who don't use the RB much. Unfortunately this season, there's a lot of that out there. Also, with the benches so deep, it's hard to find much on the WW at this point, I suspect.

I like Rivers to bounce back but he's been crap so far in the preseason and Griffin could be good or... he could just be another rookie QB in which case you have some danger there. But in a one QB league, you should be able to get help on the WW. Davis is a solid TE- not great not bad.

Otherwise, I like the WR mix and the starting RBs are phenomenal- how you managed both and Fitzgerald in a draft is beyond me. Keeper league?

Not a keeper league. I got Rice at 4 after two teams ahead of me took Rodgers and Brady (maybe they didn't see the part where it's a 4 pt. TD league?). The good QB's were gone after I shored up RB and WR so I waited for Rivers--he was bad last year and ended up benching him for Tebow in a league, but I think he'll do enough (and Fitzpatrick, Flacco, A. Smith, Cassel, Skelton, etc. are available. Not a lot of depth, but some will be cut I'm sure for weekly kicker replacements as well).

I agree with the RB depth...I probably ended up taking Vernon Davis too early in Round 5 (after Rice, McFadden, Fitzgerald, and Bryant) and could have taken a RB for FLEX (like Richardson, McGahee, or Green-Ellis, who were available). But, I decided to shore up TE with a guy who will probably get some good looks, especially with an upgraded WR corps in SF. Available running backs are not good--Bernard Scott, Shane Vereen, Mike Tolbert, James Starks. I'll probably cut Amendola at the first sign of a starting RB getting hurt and try to get the backup for depth. Hopefully it's not my guy.

I'm not sure how the hell Fitzgerald was left. It's not exactly an experts league as far as managers go, but still. Calvin was taken at 8, Andre Johnson at 16. Then White, Jennings, Wallace, and Lloyd were taken ahead of Fitzgerald. Maybe because it's not a PPR league, but still.

I like Amendola as a possible flex play and you'll probably just have to see how the first couple of weeks play out with Benson and Ridley to see if they have any value.

Also, I think the backup RB situation in Oakland shifted so you'll need a new handcuff but you could also use that roster spot for a different RB. That or Gresham's.

Yeah, I guess Taiwan Jones could be the backup now. I know Goodson had the fumbles this preseason. And yeah, probably not much value for a backup TE.

Can't see how Eli would have been available at 36. With 4 QBs gone already, I wanted to get a sure thing. Would have been able to get a Vick, Rivers, Peyton type in the 4th, but wasn;t sure how things would play out after last year when schmucks like Romo and Schaub went in the first 20 picks.

I get to my first round pick in the draft, and Michael Vick is on the board. Am I stupid for taking him? Top RBs available were Hillis, Stewart, DeAngelo Williams and top WRs available were Decker, Maclin and Vincent Jackson.

Felt like he was too much value to pass up there.

I think Decker or VJax would have been better value, but if you want to catch lightning in a bottle then sell to the highest bidder, maybe Vick will start hot this year.

My first auction. The Tebow thing was a mistake. Big hope with this team is for Vick to play lights out for two weeks so that I can flip him for value.

Not totally happy with it b/c it depends a bit more than normal on injury luck, both on the upside and the downside. But I also didn't come out of it like some years where I even wonder why I bothered playing.

I think you over payed for Johnson and you certainly don't need Vick and Brees. I would have spent that money on a better RB or big name WR, unless it is a ppr league in which case Sproles was a steal

Agreed on Johnson. That was me being unwilling to let go.

The Vick thing is a total trade-value play if he can manage to stay healthy.

I like Tebow for $1. I think the Jets offense is probably intentionally nerfed for preseason and they'll be okay.

Problem with Tebow is that he's a QB. I can easily see him putting up some points as a wildcat/QB/HB/goal-line-back. But I can't see him putting up the 30+ points per game that the QB spot requires in 2012 fantasy.

If we were allowed to play him at Flex, then I think that he would have more value.

I like the Manning/Fitzpatrick combo at QB. If you are not going to get one of the big 3, you may as well take a chance. Manning is a good risk, and Fitz is a quality backup.

QB got pounded so quickly that I was wagering that maybe Luck or RG3 would be good. Tebow, WWJD. I like getting Wallace in the 5th a lot. My TE combo should be great. Garcon is probably going to be pretty good, as the Skins throw a lot.

14 QBs were off the board when I picked Luck.

And TBH, Fantasy isn't really as fun anymore when largely everyone is using a cheat sheet from a similar place. People understand the game a ton better than they used to. Nobody is an Andre anymore.

My draft is today and I have the number one pick in 12 team league. I will select Foster at the first pick and then my dilemma I think will be my 2nd and 3rd picks. All TDs are worth six so I'm wondering if I should reach for a QB at the 24 and 25 picks or sacrifice and wait until 48 and 49.

My thinking is that I'll wait unless Stafford is there at 24/25...

If it was anything like my draft the top 4 QB's went by the time I picked - I also had the number 1 pick in a 12 team league. I went with Wes Welker (PPR) and MJD with the 24/25th pick.

My QB's are Vick (4th rnd) and P. Manning (6th rnd).

Next year I get to keep three but only one player from the 1st 3 rounds.
I had the 8th overall pick in a 10 team league.
Points are standard Yahoo fare (save Throwing TDs are 6 points).

1st round- Chris Johnson

I liked this. I've had CJ for years but I figure after the debacle of last year he would be revitalized, having a somewhat mobile QB and a slightly improved receiver corp should stretch the field and make him effective. Plus, he's the goal line back.

2nd round- Cam Newton

On the back swing, I felt it was crucial to get him. The thought being is that if, /if/ CJ is washed up, that it would be a better option to get a worthwhile young piece to keep into next season. Cam may not do great things this season, he may even regress (his complimentary pieces are still poor, and I have no idea what Carolina plans to do with Stewart, Williams AND Tolbert. This is more of an insurance pick for next season. Though if regression is so bad, I may risk putting him back in the draft pool and repick him, I think he's going to be a big piece for fantasy for several years.

3rd round - Julio Jones

I debated on grabbing another running back, but nothing I saw stood out over getting Jones as a receiver. I figured he'd be gone before the swing back. The premier TEs Gronk and Graham were gone already. I had a target for the 4th pick because it was so crucial to get another decent keeper guy (I think after the fourth round, you grab upside in a keeper). Jones should do well. I don't know if he's a true 1 WR, but I figure Atlanta will air it out.

4th round - Ryan Matthews

It was strange because I know Matthews is labeled injury prone and he may not play until week three (at best). Still I can easily keep this guy for next season. He has no competition in San Diego. Even if he doesn't meet expectations this season, I can ensure myself at least two backs for next season (at least one starting back if I keep Cam).

5th round - Darren Sproles

My main philosophy is you can never have enough running backs. Darren is a super flex. I don't expect the TD receptions but I figure at the flex he'll supply more points than most and he can fill the running back slot should one of the top two horses gets dinged up.

6th round - Peyton Hillis

There were a lot of choices, and while I should've sought out a #2 receiver, I still decided I could float a few rounds and load up on some backs with upside. Hillis may be a super flex as well, but with the goal line options. He could be trade filler for a receiver at some point. Dez Bryant kept falling but there was always a piece I wanted more.

7th round - Antonio Gates

Really didn't think he'd fall this far. Yes he's injury prone but he's integral to the San Diego offense and all the other big names were gone (Gronk, Graham, Hernandez, Pettigrew, Davis, Witten (who went in the 4th), Finley, hell even Fred Davis). Too much upside to ignore.

8th round - Robert Griffin

I know what you are thinking...WHY? Well, he may not be Cam Newton 2.0 but if he performs highly, I could move him for draft picks (he's keeper eligible at the eighth spot) or just keep him outright for next season (I always like the QB-RB-RB format for next season, you can't keep more than 2 players in the same position). Phil Rivers.Plus I noted two owners who had yet to draft QBs yet (one told me aside that he had been targeting RG3)...still he managed to draft Matt Ryan, the other Phil Rivers. I still think RG3 has better upside than any of the other QBs.

9th round - David Wilson

Another running back, but one who is earmarked more playing time and chances for playing time. Again if Bradshaw is hurt, he gets playing time. By next season he could be starting if not sooner.

10th round - Justin Blackmon

The receiver run had come and gone, and I was now out in the cold. Still, Blackmon is going to have extreme upside and garbage time, lots of garbage time.

11th round - Ryan Williams

The last running back with upside, and if the Cardinals are that bad, he'll get plenty of time to run .

12th round - Denarius Moore

Surprisingly still around, is he a WR2? Probably not but he has upside and I needed some receivers.

13th round - Mike Williams TB

Another receiver, Mike who disappeared last season but on a bad team with a struggling QB. The hope is for a rebound season. I think it was tremendous value.

14th round - Randall Cobb

Lot of preseason fantasy chatter and hey he's on a pass happy team that is one of the best offenses in the league, how could I not take a flier.

15th round and 16th round - Eagles and Alex Henery (Eagles kicker).

I was shocked that some owners grabbed defenses in the 11/12th round. Is grabbing SanFran that early worth it? I think it was guys who just didn't bother planning after the 10th round.

Anyhow, that's my team.
