I agree.
I am giving up my best prospects, but I have been unable to acquire any decent pitching so I am making a desperation trade. IF I can resign these guys, I'll be thrilled even if the prospects max out their ratings. If I can't, well then I went down swinging at least.

That's a big trade.

I actually wanted more than this. Preferably a huge SP prospect, but it wasn't there and I wanted to rip off the Band Aid.
