how much do you have to drink to check in? If I split a 12 OZ bottle is that enough?

I would be ok with that. We've split 750ml bottles between several people, and we all claimed it for a check-in. You might even only take one swig of a beer, and find it so foul that you can't finish. That could be claimed as well.

I split 13 bottles of Heffewizen 5 ways last week (were all beerjudges) and I couldnt bring myself to check any of them in :) made me curious as to what was enough :)

I am not on untapped, but from my experience in rating beers (longtime member of ratebeer.com) 2 ounces are all that is needed to qualify for a rating since that is the usual pour you get at a festival

I use untappd mostly to find similar beers to those I like.

Beer auditing? I'd need to be drunk to do that.

so they just added a beers of Louisiana badge.... a month after I was in Louisiana, drinking said beers. Im gonna cheat and say I drank them again. just so you all know, for when I get audited.
