NFL Sunday ticket streaming only for limited time
 

I wanted to give a heads up. Normally direct tv does not offer Sunday ticket to non direct tv subscribers. However Madden 25th anniversary edition for ps3 and xbox 360 when preordered through amazon for $100 comes with a code for nfl Sunday ticket streaming. This is a fantastic deal considering what Sunday ticket normally costs. You can get NFL sunday ticket for free if you subscribe to direct tv as well.

There's are very limited number of copies

As I'm reading this the full Season Ticket package is only given to you if you are unable to receive DirecTV. If you are "able" to receive DirecTV, you have to switch to subscribing to DirecTV.

Is that right?

Hmm, when I read before it didn't say that. Though I do wonder how they will know since you have the code already.

This is under the FAQ

No, it's not necessary to have a DirecTV subscription. Each Anniversary Edition includes a code that can be redeemed to access the full 2013 regular season (17 weeks) of NFL Sunday Ticket on computer, tablet, and mobile devices.?

In general, reading the FAQ makes it seem like the code for the free streaming is separate from having direct tv and there is an additional offer if you want to get direct tv.

I don't see how they will be able to even know if you are able to receive directtv or not when entering your code.

I think the above quote from the FAQ both on Amazon and EA's page is enough to make sure you get it without subscribing if they try to put up a fight.

I've had this deal pre-ordered for a while, with the intention of selling off the copy of Madden. I figure then the cost would be the same for the entire Ticket vs what I pay Fios for RZ only. Still unsure if it's worth getting all the games at streaming quality or just RZ in its normal awesome quality.

Not sure how much you stream, but usually streaming quality for me is pretty dang good.
