Help us pick a dog name

OK FOFC brain trust. We just agreed to purchase a Great Pyrenees and have it narrowed down to 3 names. Help us pick.

Trout is not an option.

I think we need a photo.

Dont care for Murphy at all.

path12 08-03-2013 07:40 PM

Write each name on a piece of paper, crumple it up and toss them at the dog after you get it and see which one he goes to first. That way he picks his own name.....it's how I name all my pets.

Cool idea

Murphy was the name of one our late cats. He was a trooper for 17 years. Be proud to have the Murphy name live on in another family!

Murphy was my least favorite option, but after seeing the pic. Seems the most appropriate.

Looks like a murphy to me. But I like the wadded up paper idea also.

You should name it Damnit.

OldGiants 08-04-2013 10:34 AM

Pope Pius X.

The white fur makes him look papal and when you come home, you can legitimately ask, "Where's the pope?"

Critch 08-04-2013 10:47 AM

Sir Woofsalot. I'd use it myself but I have cats.

Julio Riddols 08-04-2013 10:48 AM

I voted for Buster, but if Lil' Ricky was an option, I'd go with that. He looks like a Lil' Ricky.

Kodos 08-04-2013 10:57 AM

Name it "Stay".

"C'mere, Stay!"

My sister in law had a great pyrenees named Bear. For some reason its hard to imagine one without that name.

My dad told me he has to lose some weight for the hundredth time, maybe throwing paper at foods and waiting for a food to indicate they want to be eaten will work.

We had a pyr and he was a great, great dog.

I recommend Dyson or Hoover - the spring shedding blasts were the death of several vacuums.

I did that to a dog once. He went insane. Now he just ignores me and keeps typing.

Buster or Dexter for the hard consonants in the middle, which dogs hear better.
