How to trade players on Fof '07
 

Does anybody know how to trade players very well in the game. Trading draft picks happens all the time and is easy to do in the game but it is a little more difficult to shop players around because the vast majority of the time the computer won't be willing to take on the salary of the player even if he isn't making a huge sum of cash.

Does anybody know a good way to do this as I would like to occasionally put a player in a package deal to move up in the draft instead of strictly having to rely on future draft picks.

You could occasionally test the market for interested teams through the [shop player] button on the trade screen, but the AI gms seem to get tired of it if you try it too much.

yea i think thats the 1 main thing holding this game from being great. ive played only 2 seasons so far , but i cant even trade for picks

Wrong thread but I have often thought that having an in-game trade block that added blocked players to the FA screen (with trade demands) would be helpful in MP leagues in shopping players.

I believe this is the game you are looking for. ;)

You pretty much can't get a fair deal from the AI in game. But witty responses aside, that ends up being fair and probably by design because the human player outmaneuevers the hell out of the AI in every other possible regard, so being able to make good trades is just too mean.

That said, does AI-to-AI trading happen? Might be something that would be cool to see happening more, but trading is such an open ended area the logic for it will probably always be a little wanting.

i believe the ai does trade with itself. certainly in draft it happens.

You should give us examples with a screen shot and then back that up with real life examples where a similar trade was accepted. Be sure to include relevant salary cap information as well as production and age. You are the guy reporting the problem, do the work.
