game won't launch on Windows7 (through Parrallels)
 

hi everyone,

long time lurker, finally bought FOF7 and now anxious and excited to get started with the latest installment.
I run Windows 7 on my MacBoook Pro through Parrallels and have generally no problem at all running ANY Windows-based programs such as FOF2007 or TCY.

however, this time, after downloading the FOF7Installmsi.exe file, I get an error message saying:

"the version of this file is incompatible with the version of Windows that you are running. Check the computer's system informations to find out if you need an x86 version (32bits) or x64 (64bits), then contact the software's publisher"

..and so I then tried to run the file in Administrator mode and this time got a different error message saying:

"Windows cannot find C:/FOF7Install.msi.exe. Please check that you have entered the correct name file and retry"

if anyone could help this would be MUCH appreciated because I'm just stuck right now...

I dont know anything about Parrallels, but id rename the file to FOF7Install.msi and try running the installer.
