General Manager SB has been officially unveiled, and his tenure to lead the Chicago Bears to the promised land has begun. After talking with Coach Trestman, Jay Cutler's future with the team has come to an abrupt end after being released in favor of Josh McCown who only has 1 year left on his current deal. Going into week 1 of the preseason, the roster has now been finalized. With talent already on the team, there will be lots of work to be done in the many offseason's ahead.

Exhibition Week 2:
Chicago 24 - Carolina 13 Game Notes: SS Brandin Hardin out 21 weeks with ACL Knee Damage. Put on the IR and filled his spot with FA SS D.J Campbell 22/22 |
Exhibition Week 3:
San Diego 3 - Chicago 29 Game Notes: No injuries and nothing else to report |
Exhibition Week 4:
Chicago 27 - Oakland 14 Game Notes: Josh McCown tore his lateral knee ligament and will be out 14 weeks. Huge blow as I had high hopes for him this season.GM SB will be looking for a number 1 immediately with not many options on FA and Cutler not an option for a return to the windy city. |
Exhibition Week 5:
Chicago Bears trade 2016 3rd round pick to the Bronco's for QB Brock Osweiler 16/47. Osweiler has spent the last season learning from future hall of fame QB Peyton Manning, so didn't want to give up too much for a ''stud'' qb as we need to build through the draft. Cleveland 16 - Chicago 9 Game Notes: Coach Trestman thrusted Osweiler into the starting lineup and played the majority of the game going 20 for 36, 231 yds and 1 INT. Looks like its gonna be a long year for the Bear faithful, but that's why you play the game. |

Season Recap Weeks 1-4
The loss of McCown has been huge, as the inexperience at the QB position has shown through the first 4 weeks. 2 game MVP performances from Julius Peppers has shown the league that he is still one of the best. Its gonna take a miracle in making the playoffs this year, but am hoping to finish 8-8. Team Summery: ![]() Standings: ![]() |

2013 Year 1 Review:
1 win away from a .500 season. Coach Trestman stuck it out with Palmer at QB and he finished with 3354 YDS, 17 TD'S, 14 INT'S and a QB rating of 69.1 completing 336 of 550 attempts. Matt Forte had 967 YDS, only 4 TD'S and 7 fumbles. Alshon Jeffery surpassed Brandon Marshall with 1042 YDS, and only 3 TD'S. Jon Bostic lead the team in tackles with 115, Julius Peppers finished with 11.5 sacks, and Charles Tillman lead the secondary with 6 INT'S. A better overall QB, upgrades to my offensive, defensive lines and secondary are needed and will be heavily involved in free agency. Year 1 Final Team Summery: ![]() |
