put on some pants, clark!

Coffee Warlord 01-13-2014 04:04 PM

Look at those eyes. Those eyes that betray the false smile. They are eyes that scream "save me"! They are eyes that have known terror and torture. They are eyes that have cried for countless nights, shivering in the cold and cowering in fear from his masters. They are eyes that know that disobeying his masters will result only in pain and anguish.

Now the Cards have to come up with a "Cousin Eddie" mascot.

Draft Dodger 01-13-2014 04:10 PM

I have to assume this doesn't even crack the top 20 list

Toddzilla 01-13-2014 05:57 PM

Given my boy is named Clark Addison, our house is very pleased

Toddzilla 01-13-2014 05:58 PM

dola

However I will point out that the use of a snap-back hat is absolutely unforgivable.

How dare they try to target a new generations of fans.

Karlifornia 01-13-2014 06:05 PM

What's wrong with snap back hats?

+1

That's probably the best part about the whole thing.

NobodyHere 01-13-2014 06:26 PM

I think the mascot sums up "Lovable Losers" pretty well.

What, the pre-schoolers? Looks like something Disney would do (and create a plush toy) to attract the very young. That and the lame snap-back to promote an edgy look...to a 5-yr old.

Get 'em started early on years of misery and suffering!

RomaGoth 01-13-2014 06:35 PM

He wears his hat like Tony Romo. How can this NOT be a success?

EagleFan 01-13-2014 07:52 PM

One of the better tweets about I saw it....

As a Cubs' fan I can identify with the deep sadness in his eyes...

Grover 01-13-2014 08:16 PM

He looks so guilty and shameful.

Suicane75 01-13-2014 08:16 PM

That's the same image that pops up when I try and google Gracie Gold.

Ha! +1

tarcone 01-13-2014 08:51 PM

His eyes do have a sadness to them.

As a Cubs fan, I can identify with the lack of pants

Gotta be the same creator as the New Orleans Pelicans mascot, right?

Comcast SportsNet Airs Our Version Of Cubs Mascot With Cock And Balls

stevew 01-15-2014 02:18 PM

He should be wearing pants. If a bear is wearing a shirt, he's already not like a normal bear.

Teenagers LOVE snap-back hats nowadays, or at least they did a year ago. Also yes...the mascot probably was designed to appeal to children.

I just don't know how whoever approved this missed the sadness in his eyes. He looks like he's getting ready to go off himself.

Buccaneer 01-15-2014 04:24 PM

Teenagers love bieber so that probably explains the hat thing.
