FOFC is in such an apocalyptic mood today.

Anarchy? Colliding galaxies? The end of humanity?

Why so negative today?

Shirley Temple died :(

PilotMan 02-11-2014 01:12 PM

I blame Walking Dead starting back up.

Kodos 02-11-2014 01:51 PM

Don't worry. It's not the end of the world...

path12 02-11-2014 03:07 PM

February, man. Fuckin' February.

Sun Tzu 02-11-2014 03:15 PM

This is what FOFC is like when they don't have someone to pile on.

I read somewhere that February was shortened to 28 days because it was a terrible month and some king or pope wanted it over sooner.

Good call. I'm in a serious winter depression at this point.

Its the snow after snow after snow after snow and the protesting and the corruption and the medicare and the president and the job you hate and the slow meandering death the human race is walking to all culminating in a hive minded ball of good ol' FOFC sorrow.

Makes sense. It's the worst month of the year as far as I'm concerned.

We don't get much snow (had our first just this past weekend) and it has been fairly mild here, but February is like the fourth straight month of grey and it just gets old.

January you still have the post-holiday high and resolution motivation. March you're at the end of the winter stretch.

But February. Ugh.

But February made me shiver
With every paper I'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep
I couldn't take one more step

I can't remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride
But something touched me deep inside
The day the music died

For me, it's that February is off to a horrible start around here. I've been acting principal this week because my principal's father passed away. At my wife's school, one of the teachers was on her way to the hospital when her uterus erupted killing the baby before they could get him out. Today, subbing for the principal in an IEP meeting, I hear about the horrible life of a 9 year old boy who's suffered so much abuse I almost wanted to leave to hunt his parents down (he's a foster kid now) It's not been a good month around here so far for people.
