Notable draft discrepancies:
Loved by Game A Scottie Wilbekin - 1.4 in game A, 3.1 in game B Tyler Haws - 2.4 in game A, 5.7 in game B Frank Kaminsky - 2.6 in game A, 4.8 in game B Traveon Graham - 2.7 in game A, UD in game B Langston Galloway - 3.2 in game A, UD in game B Marcus Smart - 3.5 in game A, 6.7 in game B Markel Brown - 3.6 in game A, UD in game B Xavier Thames - 3.8 in game A, 6.3 in game B LaQuinton Ross - 4.3 in game A, UD in game B Loved by Game B Marcus Paige - 5.7 in game A, 2.5 in game B Adreian Payne - 4.6 in game A, 2.8 in game B Tyler Ennis - 5.3 in game A, 3.2 in game B Darrun Hilliard II - 6.3 in game A, 3.5 in game B Kyle Anderson - UD in game A, 4.3 in game B Buddy Hield - UD in game A, 4.4 in game B Time will tell which players were good values and which were reaches... One more funny thing--Taylor Braun was the last player chosen (chronologically) in both drafts. |
Man...I thought that St. Joes had it
Fully admit to reaching, it feels like more fun going for homers than doubles. Galloway still had 25 points which is good. |
Scores updated through the third slate of games.
Observations: No one had a player in the Colorado-Pittsburgh game. Young Drachma (A) and bhlloy (B) both lost Sean Kilpatrick and Tyler Haws. Michael Frazier II is the stinker of the day thus far, with a 3-point showing in Florida's win. |
Spreadsheet updated through last night. Updated table going in the first post momentarily.

Glad Payne was able to pick him up. No idea what Payne's career high was before yesterday, but I'm guessing at least a dozen points less than what he scored against Delaware. |
He did score 33 against Texas this season.

Spreadsheets updated through last night's games. Updated table coming momentarily.
Bryce Cotton's 36 led the day. No one from the George Washington-Memphis tilt found their way into the Top Gun games. |
For posterity's sake... through the Round of 64

Happy with the first round. I only lost one guy and my players did pretty well.
|
135 for first round is sky high score. Was feeling pretty good about my 97 until seeing that score.
|
Got screwed by 2 OT losses, I'm probably done. F that 4 point play especially

Spreadsheet is updated through last night. Updated table coming up top shortly.

I can't access the scoresheet at work but I know my team is a disaster.

^ Through the Round of 32.

Standings updated up top. Karl will miss Thames's 26 ppg. Time will tell if hoops and Marmel can catch up with their extra guys remaining.
|
Through the Sweet 16:
Code:
Game A Points Players LeftLooks like it'll be a fun race among Karl, hoops, and Marmel. Marmel's hopes ride mainly on Arizona, while Karl and hoops's remaining guys are a little more spread out. |

Frank is doing work tonight. Win or lose, I think he has validated his 2.6 selection. Someone stole him in Game B. |
I feel like 3 OT losses and Villanova losing a 2-7 matchup means that I lost 5-6 player games at least. My team should have done better.

That would be B & B, Game B's blowout leader. |
After the Elite Eight:
Code:

After the national semifinals:

Game A Points Players Leftstevew needs 84 points from Julius Randle... Heh. In realistic terms, the semifinals were the conclusion of a tight battle between Karl and hoops. For hoops, Kaminsky and Frazier's off nights (8 and 3) were not enough to overcome the 4-point advantage Karl started with and the 15 he got from Prather. Congrats, Karl! |
Would be nice if Randal could get 20 so I can finish 3rd. Oh what might have been with a little OT luck.
|
Yeahhhh!!! I would like to thank Xavier Thames for this victory!
|
Oh well. Good game all, and congrats Karlifornia.
|
Back-filler supreme, that Karl. :)
