Holday help. Anything fun for a toddler to do in Los Angeles?

So my wife and my 1 year old son were just granted their US Visas today. We are off to visit my grandmother in San Jose CA in July. She is turning 88. :) Quick sidetrip to my cousins in LA before that.

Anything fun to do in LA for a couple with a toddler in tow? I'm thinking Disneyland, but I think he is too young to appreciate it.

As a sidenote, there were over 500 people lined up in front of the embassy at 5 am. Crazy. All these people hoping to get Visas, a majority of them would be denied in the course of the day. When we left the line was even longer. Crazy.

How long are you in LA and where do you think you'll be staying?

Tons of parks. And the beaches.

Other things:

Zimmer Children's Museum in the Miracle Mile area
Noah's Ark exhibit at the Skirball
Kidspace
Annenberg Community Beach House

Disney may still be fun for you, but it is a full day commitment and with naps and expenses you may not get the bang for your buck with a one year old.

Travel Town is pretty cool if he likes trains
