A surprising eliminator here (my bad). There was a moment's hope when 3 HP answers came in consecutively, but alas.

2. How long had Stupid had his laptop before it kicked the bucket?

Again, was hoping that the 1/3 year answers would have a stronger showing (1 year was actually up 4-2 in the early going). But Stupid loves round numbers.

A decent second tier of answers here, but people seem convinced that the hard drive is the issue. Which is weird, because that's never been the issue for me.

The answer of 1 week started slowly, but gained tons of steam as days went on. The loners represent a fantastically wide spread of shopping time.

The best spread of any question here. There is a lot of lumping in, to be fair, but we would've had a lot of singletons otherwise.

Another situation where there were clumps of $500 answers that made me think this would be close to a split. Surprised nobody tried $1500 or $2000.
