Does Billy Joel Belong in the Hall of Fame?
 

I've been downloading from his yearly releases as I bought several on eBay. The foundation he laid is unbelievable. Should he be in the hall for contributions to music?

He never got a ring. For all the stats he may have acquired in the regular season, I just don't know how you can say a man who couldn't win in the playoffs deserves a spot in the hall.

Anybody could have put up the kind of sales he did with the lineup of producers he had.

No question. Listen to his episode on Alec Baldwin's podcast "Here's the Thing" and you realize how many damn songs he put out. I mean, it's such a unique niche. It'd be like Ben Folds if he had a different voice and wrote better pop songs as a star. It's improbable and completely ridiculous and yet, it worked for so long.
