Combat Sims

Anyone play any good tactical combat sims recently? Something along the lines of Combat Mission or TOAW.

The Close Combat series has been revived, but Matrix Games is publishing so the price stays high. Thinking about giving it a try.

I like turn based games in this genre, so I am paying attention as well.

Matrix has a lot of examples, but even their ten year old games are 30 or 40 dollars.

You can still get Steel Panthers for free, right? Speaking of which, has anyone played the Civil War mod at SPWAW Depot? I wish I could combat (hur, hur) my gamer ADD long enough to play through the Das Reich or Red Steel(?) mini-campaigns.
