Random Things that make you feel old Thread

Just a thread to use whenever something happens that makes you feel old.

My daughter just can't understand why I can't skip commercials when watching My Little Pony on a Saturday morning. It's because it's what's scheduled to come on.

My kid does the same thing.

I heard a Queensryche song on a classic rock station the other day.

Tied in with National Signing Day, it was 20 years ago that Ricky Williams signed with the Longhorns. Damn.

Realizing the original Jurassic Park was released 22 years ago when I was 13.
I still can recall being so pumped to see that with my family and all the technological advances in visual effects it had for a movie at it's time.

Seeing Andruw Jones is making a comeback and realizing his rookie performance in the WS seems like it was just a hiccup ago. I think I've just been surfing the web for the past 18 years.

- Noticing that kids born after my high school graduation date can now legally drink.

- Seeing kids I had when I first started teaching bring their kids to school

- Going to the fourth or fifth circle on those fill out forms to designate what age range you are in.

Both my oldest and middle daughters are now closer to their high school graduation dates than I am to mine. Given that they're 11 and 8, that's not too surprising. On the other hand, my 9 month old was already closer to her high school graduation date the minute she was born. She'll be closer to her graduation date from college in two years.
