What color is this dress?
 

Is it:
- white and gold; or
- black and blue

There is clearly only one correct answer here and I just want to make sure everyone can agree on it.

I totally thought it was white and gold, until I looked at the Deadspin version of the article, scrolled down to the comments, then scrolled back up. If I process the image from the bottom up, I see it as black and blue.

Exactly zero times have I seen white/gold, but my wife says it changes back and forth for her.

I see no black whatsoever.

When I tilt my laptop screen back to nearly 180 degrees, it's blue and black. Otherwise white and gold.

This is actually making the rounds on my FB as of a few minutes ago as well.

I can see the blue & black -- a little -- after someone told me it was there.
But that dress is plainly & obviously white & gold.

At no point has this ever been blue and black

I see blue and black, every time, because my mind is strong, like bear.

Where in the fuck are people seeing black on that dress? People seeing blue I get because the lighting is making the white part of the dress have a bluish cast to it, but the other part of the dress is clearly a gold color.

There is a link to the site that is selling the dress, and there is no combo of white/gold for sale. I think it is mainly due to the pic being overexposed and washing things out for some people.

No laptop angle makes this white and gold... it is blue and black.

My wife just said "That's a dress?"

I see white and gold, my wife sees the same. Even put the cursor up to it, and I could still see the black in the cursor against the dress. That said, when I put the cursor up to it, the white is not white either/

wife says blue and black. I say white and gold. I can kind of see a bluish tint depending on the screen angle, but there's no way I'm seeing black.

My wife was seeing white and gold and tried scrolling from the bottom up for her and it flipped for her.

Okay, that's creepy and weird. Every version I've seen up until now has been white and gold. I saw Lathum's comment about it being different on his phone, so I called it up there.

Didn't log in on the phone, so the background was red/yellow instead of the black/green I usually view. It showed up black/blue on my phone. I glanced back up at the TV and it had gone from white/gold to black/blue.

My wife said blue and black.Then she showed me her iPad, where it was clearly white and gold. So I held her iPad next to my laptop and now it's white and gold everywhere.

They call them fingers but I never see them fing.

And now it's blue with gold trim.

dang, when I came to the thread at first, then saw the picture on FB and it was clearly white and gold. I left my browser on this thread, took care of a couple things with my son, I come back and now it's black and blue, WTF?

One of my students just asked me about this. I said white, though perhaps more of an ivory than true white, and a brownish-gold. Probably bronze would be a better descriptor. And they're like not blue and black? And I'm like ....nope.

Yeah, I just see white + gold. Maybe blue + gold at times. But at no times do I see black.

The llamas were a better story though.

If I let my eyes relax it does turn blue/black.
