Preference goes towards members who were in the league last year. Anyone else will be put on the waiting list. Sterlingice is automatically number one on the waiting list

Remember - if you're from last year, put your team name and number. I have a list of numbers on my desktop which is the draft order (no, if you pick 1, you don't pick 1st- you pick in whatever order #1 is on that list).

If you're on the waiting list, don't post a number yet.

Draft Format

The draft will take place in this thread once the league has been set up. It is a snake draft. We will start drafting ASAP, hopefully no later than March 12 .


The first pick each morning must be made by 10 am eastern time. Then the three hour clock will start for the next pick. Also, lets make the cutoff 10 pm eastern at night so if the final pick is made at 8 pm, the next person has until 10 am eastern time to make his pick. If most people in this league live in the western time zone or central time zone we could adjust this

On weekends the first pick must be made by 10 am eastern, we'll *go with a standard 3 hours with a 10 pm eastern time cut off.

If there are problems in that you know your pick is coming up but you won't be online, submit a list either to myself or to a proxy drafter for you. Otherwise, you will get the next player on Yahoo's list. Maybe pick someone who is on the opposite end of the draft from you so that you likely won't be grabbing from the same pool of players anyways.

Opening Day is Sunday April 5. If the draft is not complete by Fri April 3 at noon, we will have a quick live draft via AIM (or a program people actually use) to complete the draft on Saturday April 4 at 7pm . Anyone who won't be able to make that will need to submit a list to me, a proxy, or have a proxy in chat (who is not in the league) to finish out their team.

If you miss more than 2 picks in the draft (i.e. time limit expired so a Yahoo rankings pick), particularly in the first 10 rounds, then you can be replaced as manager.

I hate to lay down some of these rules but we're going to be drafting over 250 players so we need to get it done in a timely fashion.

I am sadly going to step down this year. Looking to step away from fantasy baseball for a year, maybe peek back in next year. Thanks for the six fun years here though - this was, and is, a fantastic league. Best of luck to all of you!

After two hours of intense trade negotiations, Killing Me Smalls and ALL IN completed what is perhaps the biggest blockbuster in FOFC Hardcore history.

Going to Killing Me Smalls are perennial all stars Tim Lincecum, David Price and the vastly underrated Eric Aybar.

Going to ALL IN are perennial all stars Adrian Gonzalez, Michael Young and the crippled Brandon Webb.

Since both teams currently qualify for the playoffs, a trade of this magnitude will be quite interesting to keep track of as the year progresses. Hopefully, it works out well for both teams.

There is at least one opening available! First one to post, gets in. Just make sure you can keep up with the schedule.

Ok so we are still waiting on clebrownsfan to register in yahoo and TRO hasn't been on FOF in a couple of months.

Assuming TRO won't join, there is still one more spot open. The sooner we find someone to fill that last spot, the sooner we can get started.

Draftime Fantasy Sports Draft Manager - Draftime Fantasy Sports Draft Manager

The downside is the draft wouldn't be run on FOF, but this way we can have a hard clock and we don't have to worry about being a hard ass for skipping over someone's pick. Also we can load up our own player queues instead of messaging someone with potential picks.

I am fine with whatever option makes it easiest.

I'd like to keep it in house (for me it will be easier to just look at the forum for picks) but I would go with the majority....

I definitely like the idea of something automated when it comes to the clock. So off forum is fine.

I don't mind stepping down (for one year only!!) this year to even teams up so you guys can start drafting. I'm really busy at the moment with work, new baby, ect... let me know if that's what you want to do LWSFS to get the draft started

Cle Browns I was thinking the same thing. I am not sure Iam going to be able to stay up with it this year.

Or we can have one of the teams be a "computer" team to get up to 12.

Basically the computer team would just take whomever the highest rated player was.

Decided not to do the website to expedite things. Lets do a soft start for today then a 3 hour clock starting tomorrow.

Cut off for night time is ten pm eastern. All picks must be made my 10 am eastern during the week and noon eastern for the weekend.

I now live in Asia so more than likely I won't be able to help people out if they are going to miss picks. Hopefully people can volunteer to help each other out. If you miss your deadline you get the top guy listed even if that guy has been dead for the past 50 years. The computer team will automatically get the top guy listed and anybody can make the pick for the computer team to speed things along. I think that's it...if I forgot anything please let me know.
