roll-out QB
Does knowing that my QB's style is "roll-out" tell me anything that I can't see from his ratings and statistics?
The funny thing is that I was a roll-out QB -- yup, I ran the freshman B team -- and my coach rolled me out for one simple reason: I was short. I guess it cuts down the field, but it should buy time for the receivers to run longer routes. I remember throwing to the halfback a lot on five yard outs. |
i think qb style determines the order he learns formations? not positive though

If that's true then roll-out QBs love them some 2-TE sets.

Dug back into my previous posts and found this example of how QB style affects formations known. Small sample size and from a previous version of the game, but it may still be applicable.

These numbers were taken from a selection of young quarterbacks (4 or fewer years), when I later examined a set of 11 older roll out quarterbacks (10 or more years) the formation breakdown looked like this Quote:
Also broke down the original 20 roll out QB set in regards to player intelligence to see how it might affect the less common formations for that style. Quote:
