Planned Parenthood = Disgusting
 

I haven't posted here much lately with other things going on in life. I also tend to avoid political/hot point discussions on the internet because it tends to not turn out well.

In this case however, I wanted to share a video I came across regarding Planned Parenthood and the selling of baby parts. When I first heard this story I knew I would be upset, but I did the online thing anyway and came across the video. It makes me sad that people would ever consider doing this to another human being, fetus or otherwise.

I do not want this thread to turn into a political debate where tempers flare and people get banned (we already have one of those here).

I just want to share this with the community here. I have no expectations and may not respond in this thread again.

I died a little inside after watching this woman talk about the sale of body parts while she was eating.

This thread is not about abortion. It is about the illegal and immoral sale of human body parts.

Regardless of how you feel about abortion, what PP is doing is disgusting.

I'm not sure it is necessarily an abortion vs choice topic. Someone like myself can be disgusted by abortion, still support a woman's right to her body, and be disgusted by this video. Don't know enough about the source nor did I watch any of the video but if the description is true I wouldn't mind seeing some heads roll at planned parenthood. Again doesn't mean the end of abortion but also doesn't mean someone like me who does side pro choice has to blindly defend planned parenthood.

Don't necessarily disagree with that, but Roma is kidding himself if he thinks his unrelated emotions on Planned Parenthood aren't pouring out in that 1st post. Which is why "Don't make this about abortion" elicits a chuckle from me.

What they are doing is disgusting and that woman is not human. Regardless of anyone's belief on abortion there is no defense for what they are doing. This should be prosecuted to the extent of the law.

I did a real quick search for "The Center for Medical Progress", but wasn't able to find anything not related to the video.

So the internet age is, what, a couple decades in now and there are still folks that get suckered in by outrageous post claims and don't immediately check Snopes to see if it's bullshit?

I keep checking Snopes for something about a persistent rumor that's been going around that Obama gave Iran access to nuclear weapons, but they don't have it yet.

They use baby parts to fabricate Jade Helm super soldiers so that Kenya can complete its takeover of the US and institute sharia law with the anti Christ in office so he can start pissing on the graves of dead soldiers who don't get special treatment in the airport. And someone got forced to make a gaybe birthday wedding cake.

I work in research and know plenty of people who get organs from aborted fetuses for research purposes. I don't do it myself, not sure if I could, but they learn pretty important things about how tissue heals because fetal organs and tissue heal in a completely different and amazing manner. They try to recapitulate that in adults.

One day when you have a heart attack and they are able to rebuild your heart, you may think the research was worthwhile, I guess. I have no real opinion on the matter, other than it does happen (usually much earlier in gestation) and in certain states and certain centers you can procure it I guess.

I don't really care to watch the video so I have no idea if that is the case here.

After looking into this more I would like to add "If this is true" to the start of that post.

The real crime here is the Planned Parenthood lady taking the free lunch from someone who was unsavory without checking on them because she wanted a free lunch. In that sense, the setup doesn't even offend me. They're so subject to these gotchas so much that you have to wonder who the fuck is running interference for them? Daffy Duck?

I have been told that snopes has a liberal bias (I think this was regarding the whole birth certificate thing).

I didn't read it, as I'm not interested in sensationalism. I just feel bad that this one issue makes me change so many of my choices with regard to governing figures.

Tissues are donated for research. It's against the law to profit from the sale, however the cost for transportation and handling varies from organ to organ. That's what I learned from reading the snopes piece.

I guess a good question is, "When does a profit become a profit?". How much can one charge before you start "profiting".

It's all over the news because this topic is blood to a certain breed of sharks. Whether the claims are justified or not - and so far the worst I've seen is the possibility that they are performing abortions in a way as to try to minimize organ damage - this was always going to rile up the anti-choice crowd. Doesn't mean that it has much (if any) merit.
