I'm looking for an older laptop with Windows XP because I am a geek who really really really misses his old horse racing game and can't get it to run on anything newer.

I think this thread title is misleading. This thread should be about why we don't have it (I blame Schmidty - the man is too timid about new topics). There should be a separate thread for the asks.

As for your actual request my school had one 6 months ago that we ended up getting rid of. I can see if my parents have one, but if they do it would basically need a reinstall because it would be BLOATED.

I can think of a number of reasons why we don't have one. Perhaps a poll would help us figure out the most correct answer.

I have 50 pounds I'm looking to get rid of.


Where do we go from here?

Did you try virtual box?

Yeah. Ran but very crashy. My monitor doesn't do the 1024x768 it wants.

When I couldn't find anything I wondered if it was against the rules somehow but could not for the life of me figure how why it would be.
