Router help(2015)
 

My router works with everything except my macbook air. I continuously lose connection every 5-7 minutes. If I renew my DHCP lease it works. This same computer is fine when my wife takes it to her school.

What gives. Google kind of garbage on responses

does your macbook change router connections by itself? or does it just loose connection?

It just freezes and disconnects from the Internet.

Have you tried updating the firmware on the router? Had something similar happen with my dad's laptop on a visit. All other devices worked fine, but his laptop would drop connection. Flashed a new firmware onto the wireless device, and that fixed the issue.

I'll try that. I really just need to buy a real router probably
