RESULTS: Make Mine Rare: The Remake
And the winner is:
gold101 and 3ric. Both tied with 528 points, as it was overall a high scoring affair. I attribute this most to my questions, which were done in a way which would produce high scores. For a list of the full results in an excel spreadsheet, click this link. A note on this, each person's answers are given, and the numbers immediately after are the number of times it was given. Let me know if I made a mistake. Best and worst answers for each question: 1. Presidents: Most given: Tyler, 11 Least given: Other 3 tied at 6 each. This set the tone 2. Jax RB: Most given: Taylor, 12 Least given: Stewart, 2. It seems many felt taylor would be the most obvious, so people would skip him. 3. Numbered FOFC: Most given: 3ric, 11 Least given: six are tied with 1 vote. Kudos to those who used the words for numbers. Way to circumvent the rules I did not clearly state :) (i.e. Sixto) 4. S.C. Congressman: Highest score: Anthony Principi (never part of the US Congress from all records I've seen. Most given: Jim DeMint, 6 Least given: seven tied with 1 vote. Again, I did not clearly state what I wanted. I intended current SC Reps, but I must have left out current. 5. Ivy League: Highest score: Notre Dame (not sure if they have been a part of the Ivy League, if they were, I'll change the score) Most given: Penn, 6 Least given: Yale/Columbia/Princeton, 2. Princeton was not named until the last 5 entries, almost got left off. 6. 21-30 #: Most given: 22 and 29, 5 Least given: 25, 0 No one said 25, and all the other numbers were used at least twice. Oh, and Shorty scored the highest with 167040. Til next time. |
dola, i calculated the totals using the windlows calculator b/c I didn't feel like fooling with excel too much, so mistakes aren't likely, but wouldn't be surprising.
And so you know, I got 2.5 hours of sleep last night, so maybe mistakes are likely... note to those going into college: never start a 15 page paper at 10 pm, 11 hours before it is due. |
Prinicipi or whatever is prob the highest because I am not a policital man. I put your question into a google search and that is the first name I found.

Can't wait for the next one.

ouch, 15th... Oh well:)

Hmmm, the link isn't working for me. Is it working for everyone else?
|
Oh my god. I won something!
|
Doesn't work for me. Although I don't think I want to see, really.

for those who can't get the results (sometimes the server freaks):

You mean there actually is a Smith congressperson from South Carolina?
You mean that if I had known something about Ivy League (or took the time to google something up), I would have had a shot at this? 6 * 12 * 1 * 1 * x * 5 = 360 x Bummer... BTW, Easy Mac, excel has some nice functions(?) for this, like '=count', '=rank', '=x*x*x*x*x*x' where x is a cell number. If you (or next persons doing this thing) need an excel sheet, it would be no problem to create one with (for example) room for 100 entries. |
How about this:

That is why I love MMR so much (and not IWS). It really was fun trying to come up with the most obsure and clever answer. My only suggestion is less number of questions where there are only a handful of right answers. |
Calling gold101!
Should we cooperate on making the next MMR contest? |
Oops, I was wrong on the fofc members question as well...
I guess Easy Mac didn't see that... That would drop me to last place actually... |

Yeah, you guys need to put together another one of these. I'm gonna win one of these eventually. I think I can, I think I can. |
