Sounds like he suffered from Alzheimer's. He's now back with his beloved Gilda.

Always loved Gene Wilder. What a bummer. RIP

Damn, RIP Gene.

Truly one of the great "straight men" of all time, kinda like Stan Laurel. The Producers, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles...he was the perfect foil to Mel Brooks' nuttiness.

University of Iowa, class of 55.

Sorry to see him go. Very funny man. Very good actor.

Him and Richard Pryor together was gold.

Depends. Are we black?

This completely bummed me out today. One of my favorite actors of all time. Played Wonka perfectly. So many other great roles/movies. RIP.

Sign of my (our?) age

When I read about his passing and saw "star of Willy Wonka and Mel Brooks movies" my response was "What about Stir Crazy?!"

RIP Skip
