Recommeded simulation settings
Hey fellas, dabbled with this in the past and excited to give 8 a go. For the utmost realism what recommendations to you all have for cap increase range, injury setting, and combine accuracy?
Thanks for the help. |
Yeah, I'd like to know what people are playing with currently as well.
|
If you want injuries as frequent as the NFL set it to 200. It's going to be quite brutal.
|
dont do that even at 100 i've lost 5 players in 1 game for the whole season
|
Some people like injuries to be frequent, but I find it tedious to have to mess with my roster that much in-season.
I recommend turning injuries off entirely. Gives you a chance to really see how players play though you lose out on the "Drew Bledsoe gets hurt, Tom Brady in" storylines. |

Been playing on 200 since FOF7. It's the closest thing I can get emulating NFL injuries. Some NFL teams make it to the playoffs and they're left with second stringers on defense. It happens. |
Great feedback guys, thanks. I guess my main goal is to see what the veteran players in longstanding leagues are doing in relation to this. I could see myself eventually going from single player to playing in a league with others and was hoping to become used to what the normal agreed upon settings used are in those situations.
Any other feedback would be appreciated. |
I use injuries at default as I find them tedious as well. Gives a decent amount but not so many that I'm shuffling a ton of players each week.
I do the same with OOTP and use the classic injury setting. |

We always used the default 100. While higher might be more realistic in terms of simulating the NFL, most people don't want to put a ton of time into building a team in multiplayer where it takes months to sim a season just to see it wiped out by injuries every year. |

Will like to know this as well. So far, people suggested Injuries @ 200 but what about the other settings? |
